A knock on the door was unexpected. Donghyuck didn't wait for anyone and even the timing was odd. It was very early in the morning, so early that he and Noram were still sleepy.

Donghyuck rubbed his eyes and ruffled his hair, expecting to fix his bed hairstyle. He then turned to Noram and motioned for him to go towards the bathroom where no one could see him.

When that happened, only then did Donghyuck go to open the door. The sight was unamusing as the brunette didn't know the girl who stood before him. He saw her once or thrice but had no idea what she studied or if she was on this floor or another.

"Good morning, Lee Donghyuck," she said in an annoyingly squeaky voice. "I must inform you that I'm writing a complaint about the noise that is coming from your room."

"Thank you for informing me," Donghyuck replied sarcastically. "But what noise are you talking about?"

"I'm sure that you're sharing your room with somebody else which goes against our housing policy."

"I'm not, though? Just because you hear the noise doesn't mean that someone else is living in my room. Ever heard about hooking up?"

"I doubt you're hooking up with a kid and if you do, I'll file more complaints."

Both of them were glaring at each other now. It happened for three seconds until the girl walked away in victory, leaving Donghyuck to stand there in defeat.

"Fucking hell," he whispered under his breath.

Closing the door, Donghyuck threw a glance at Noram.

"I think that telling you to be quiet will no longer help."

"Am I caught?"

Noram's big eyes made Donghyuck's heart do a flip. The kid was genuinely scared.

"Not yet..."

"No! I don't want to be away from Papa! I like it here! I don't want us to leave just because of me!"

"Calm down. Stop exaggerating things, for fucks sake. From who did you even get this?"

But... why would Donghyuck even ask such a question when he kind of knew what was happening here? And he hated it if it wasn't just a coincidence.

You see, Mark was a professional at exaggerating stuff and Donghyuck knew it. He had seen lots of times when the senior was making excessive statements against gays, turning them into monsters. The same about religious people. But in this case, he said way too good things about them.

"I'm sorry, Papa," Noram slouched, getting scared. "Don't curse at me."

Donghyuck felt bad. He had to sound scary if Noram reacted like that.

"No, I'm sorry," Donghyuck clicked his tongue as he closed his eyes. "It's just... The truth is very near and... all of the problems... fuck."

He had to plan what to do next as the girl was already on his tail. Donghyuck felt that even if he succeeded in playing innocent when someone would check upon him, there was a very high chance that she'd be down to get evidence. Now that he thought of it, wasn't this girl after his room, not after him?

Donghyuck was one of the few who had a room for one and a bathroom. Of course, he paid double for that so it wasn't a miracle or something. However, there were plenty of students who could only wish to get a room like his. Especially those who missed the chance.

So, if that bitch was after his room, Donghyuck was more than angry. He really wanted to fight her for that and would if not for Noram. Because... her statements were true, another person was living with him and if she was smart enough, she could catch them off guard. Going against her was stupid especially when she was right.
