Hyunjin POV
Felix and I packed our bags and bid our farewells to the annoying office lady. I showed him to my car and he gasped. "Why the fuck are you staying in such a shitty hotel with a car like this?" I shrugged, "I don't like fancy ones, they give you no privacy."He raised an eyebrow but shrugged nonetheless. "Let's go." I opened the car door for him and helped him in, shutting it and then loaded the car up. It wasn't a long drive, but Felix would gasp cutely at every insignificant thing we drove past.
"Oh my god that's such a cute cafe!" He giggled, pointing to a little French patisserie. I hummed, glancing out the window. "I've always wanted to go to France y'know.. it's so beautiful there." I spoke, taking a hand off of the steering wheel to rake my fingers through my hair.
I could feel Felix's eyes on me and I turned to the side to look at him. He looked away quickly, a soft pink blush dusting his cheeks. I chuckled, patting his head.
We finally arrived outside my house, it wasn't really anything too fancy, but Felix seemed to think so. He would gasp in shock at all the small details that he would claim were a work of art in themselves.
I giggled, dragging him upstairs to my bedroom. My parents weren't home, so I didn't really care what we did. We just laughed around, not having to worry about being quiet.
Suddenly I was interrupted mid-knock knock joke as his phone rung. He stopped laughing and glanced down, a smile still gracing his lips. His smile dropped however as he read the contact name. I peeked over, frowning as I saw the contact, 'Eomma 💕'.
I glanced up, awaiting his reaction. He simply stared for a moment before picking up the call. He sat in silence for a moment before speaking.
Felix POV
I answered the call, hearing the worried sniffles of my mother.
"Hey Eomma." I mumbled, avoiding eye contact with Hyunjin.
"Hey Lix.." she began,
"Listen, your father and I have decided to not kick you out.. but you need to forget this 'gay' nonsense. So we are sending you to a Christian school, I don't wanna hear any of your arguments, it's final."My eyes widened, "Eomma! You can't do that!! I'll have no friends, I won't get to see them anymore! It's bullshit. I don't want to move schools." I hissed, very aware of how my tone sounded.
"Lee Felix. I do not care if you don't wish to move, you have brought this upon yourself." She spoke calmly, her sniffles long gone.
I ran a hand through my hair, glancing around Hyunjin's room in panic. "Well fucking fine then, send me to a Christian school, it's not going to change who I am." I argued, not waiting to hear her response as I hung up the phone.
I avoided Hyunjins sympathetic look, who had seemed to gather enough information from my side of the phone to know what was going on.
"Lix-" he began but I shook my head.
"I-I should go." I choked out, standing up and walking to the door. I felt his hand grip tightly around my waist, pulling me back to him. "Listen Lix, it'll be alright.. okay? Let me drive you home." He offered, wiping the tears from my puffy eyes. I declined. "Listen it'll just make things worse if I show up with a guy friend." He hummed, seemingly agreeing.
"Okay but what if I drop you down the street from your house and you can walk there?". I finally caved, knowing the walk would be far too long for my liking. He smiled softly and grabbed my hand, pulling me down the stairs and outside to his car.
It wasn't a long drive, and we made it, a couple houses down from where mine was. I inhaled sharply as I noticed my parents weren't home yet. "Okay thanks for everything Hyunjin, I really appreciate it." I gave him a quick hug and opened the door, cutting off something he was about to say, but I was in a rush.
Hyunjin POV
Damn.. I didn't even get to ask for his number.. I'll probably never see him again now. I sighed, watching as he ran into his house, not turning back once.
I finally left, driving back to my house to get a good nights sleep.
