-one month later-
Felix applied a tiny bit of makeup, knowing his parents would be annoyed if they knew, but he didn't care. He slung his school bag over his shoulder and grabbed his phone and suitcase.
He had warmed up to the idea of the school, but he was sad he was leaving his friends behind, although Chan didn't seem to want to hear from him again. He was sure the elder would reach out eventually though.
Felix sat in the car, waiting for his parents, pulling his phone from his pocket and plugging in his earphones. His friends used to make fun of him for not having AirPods, and now, looking back at it.. the teasing almost made him sad.
It wasn't long before his parents were in the car, trying to make small conversation. Only a few songs later, he had arrived outside the school. The school was a reputable one, with great education. Though Felix would miss his friends, a lot.
Felix murmured a goodbye to his parents who watched with a worried eye as some of the students were playfully pushing each other around.
He heaved his suitcase from the back seat, glancing around at the other people.
He caught a few students looking at him as he walked through the gate, but other than that, nobody seemed to care. Felix remembered what his parents had instructed him to do, go to the admin and pick up his schedule and dorm keys. Oh yes, it was a boarding school, or a temporary one.
Felix hadn't argued much about that, it made him more than happy to be away from his controlling parents and actually breathe for once. Even if some anti-gay male was his roommate, he supposed he could always pretend he swung the other way.
As Felix was wandering around, trying to find the administrations office, he bumped into a petite male.
"Shit! Sorry!!" Felix apologised frantically, helping the poor boy up and dusting him off. The boy looked up, a smile on his lips. Felix noted that he looked a bit like a squirrel. "That's okay! I'm Han Jisung, and you are?" He held out his hand for Felix to shake. Which Felix accepted gingerly.
"Lee Felix. I'm new here." He introduced himself, trying to sound confident. Jisung nodded, smiling. "I'm assuming you're looking for the office?" He asked, fixing his hair a bit.
"Yes I am.. do you know wher-"
"Of course, I'll take you there!"
Jisung looped arms with Felix, leading him through the crowd of gossiping students and towards the main entrance. Felix lugging his suitcase behind.
"Since it's our first day back this year, we have a free day to get our dorm rooms sorted and find our classes." Jisung explained, grinning cheerfully.
Felix nodded, smiling back. "Great!" He commented, giggling as Jisung dragged him into the office.
Felix stood shyly, looking back to Jisung who chuckled. "Morning Juni! This is Lee Felix, he needs to collect his dormitory keys and his class schedule." He spoke rather fast, glancing back at Felix with an excited grin on his face.
Juni nodded, smiling back. "Hi Felix! I'm Yun Juni, I'm also a Student here, but I spend most of my free time helping out at student services." She introduced herself, smiling genuinely.
She then beckoned him closer and whispered something for both Jisung and Felix to hear. "I actually only do this because I get paid! Not that the rates very high, but I'll take what I can get." She explained, giggling as Felix and Jisung exchanged a humorous glance.
A voice suddenly spoke from behind, making them glance back in surprise.
"Juni, the keys and schedule please." An elderly woman had spoken, seemingly watching from behind.
Juni simply stared, gaping like a fish in surprise. "Hurry now girl, before I come in and do it myself." She instructed, walking to the mini fridge and grabbing a cold bottle of water.
Juni nodded, typing away on the keyboard anxiously as she got up Felix's details. "Here's your key and schedule Felix." She handed him the folded piece of paper and his dorm keys.
She then mouthed good luck and gave them both a finger heart. They returned the heart and giggled, leaving the office.
Jisung decided to accompany Felix to his dorm, seeing as he had nothing better to do, as he had the same dorm as last year.
Felix and Jisung searched around for a bit until they found Felix's room. On the door shining gold letters were inscribed. 'Room 143.". Felix thought it looked quite fancy.
He fumbled with the key for a moment as he unlocked the door, glancing at Jisung as he pushed the doors open.
Felix stepped inside, Jisung following closely behind as he let go of the suitcase.
Felix POV:
I opened my mouth in awe, it wasn't much but it was quite big, with a gorgeous kitchen. Jisung trailed behind me as we explored, peeking into the bathroom and eventually in the bedrooms.
I assumed my roommate hadn't come yet, seeing as the door was locked and there were no shoes by the door.
I pushed open the door, Jisung peering over my shoulder in anticipation. It was nice, there was a large double bed with pure white linen sheets.
I then walked into the other room which was also beautiful, but it had a large walk in wardrobe, which Jisung stated I should claim.
Both of the rooms had a joined balcony, which was rather stunning, the view overlooking the campus.
I giggled, agreeing with Jisung that I probably would need a bigger wardrobe.
We sat on the sofa and talked for a bit before Jisung for a text from his roommate who asked him to come help unpack everything.
Jisung bid me farewell and soon enough, I was alone.
