Cody walked in behind Don. Chris was sat on his bed hugging his knees due to anxiety. He lifted his head when he saw Cody.
"I'm sorry Chris." He sounded like he was crying.
"Are you alright?"
Chris' voice filled with worry.
"It's all my fault. I shouted and got mad and then she ran off and now-"
"Cody, don't worry. It isn't your fault"
"But what if it is Chris, what if it is?!!! I yelled at her, I caused her to run away. IT IS MY FAULT!!"
He sat back in his seat. He wanted to say sorry, but he'd said it so much already it would probably burn a hole through his tongue or something.
Chris had just noticed Chef standing behind everyone, looking half asleep.
"CHEF WAKE UP" Chris yelled. He jumped awake.
"What??"
"Chef...Heather is literally...maybe...dead."
"So? Why should I care if-"
"WHAT?!"
For some reason Chris could feel anger rising and burning the back of his throat.
"THATS MESSED UP MAN. SHES DEAD. NOT JUST MISSING. DEAD"
"Ok..Chris...relax"
Don stepped forward, slightly confused but nevertheless. Chris ignored him and stood up.
"What's the proof?" Chef asked, his tone not changing. He remained calm.
"God damn it Chef you are so heartless"
"Ouch" Chef said, somewhat sarcastically.
"Chris"
"SHUT UP CHEF"
"Chris..I know you are mad but we are in a hospital so just-"
"No! I've had it with this place. I'm leaving"
He stormed out, followed by Chef. Don sighed at the immaturity.Cody sat in the corner watching. He sighed and pulled out his phone.
