I walked over to Loki reading in his cell

I walked over to Loki reading in his cell. "You weren't lying when you said the cells are small. Hey, at least you're not chained." I awkwardly rubbed my arm. "Sooo... when do we start the whole power thing?"

Loki puts a finger up finishing his page before closing the book and sitting up on his bed. "We start tomorrow morning." He says looking at me. "My brother says you were arguing with Steve about you and I... Why?"

"He's jealous." I said and sat down on the floor in front of his cell. "He thinks there's something going on between us and then he started in on me bringing up the past between him and I *sighed* I went off on him and told him everything that I went through on my own after I left him." I shake my head and let out a disgusted laugh. "Steve then tried to make it out like I was the bad guy for not telling him. He never used to be this way... he was always the noble Captain America doing the right thing and making sure everyone was happy and he was like that when we started dating, but towards the end he just turned into a different person. Into someone I don't like and it's like I don't even know who he is anymore."

Loki sits on the floor of his cell directly in front of me. "Well, like I told my brother he's a moron."

I played with the ends of my hair. "Yeah, but it just sucks because when I pictured getting married it was always with someone like him and how he is now makes me not want anyone... it's made me give up hope that the special someone I'm supposed to be with isn't out there. That there is no soulmate for me."

"You sound like my mother. Do you really believe that soulmate garbage?"

Loki looks at me as a small smile forms on my face and I nod. "Stupid I know, but I do. I believe that we are all born with a soulmate."

He stays silent for a moment. "Do you think that people like me... could have a soulmate?"

"Yeah." I say as he smiled a little. "You should smile more."

"What happens when you find your soulmate?"

I stand up and fix my skirt. "I imagine it to be like 9000 volts at the slightest touch and all the colors around you get brighter. I have to go get ready, see you in a bit."

"Okay, Lady Alexandria, you'll barely touch our hands, just our fingertips as we're in a circle, facing each other going right and when we make a full circle we put our hands like this *she extended her right hand in front of her before pulling her hand above her head standing straight* then we spin and curtesy before we do it all again but the opposite way. I know it's different from Earth, but it's quite fun, really."

I smiled. "I'm open to trying something new." I said as they were, to my surprise, excited when I said I was down to try it.

We got in our positions as the music started up and we danced in our circle. We all put our hands in the middle of the circle. I watched for the other girls to throw their hands up and spin. Curtsying I see Loki staring again, I nod my head in his direction. Some of the men joined in and chanted as we did the dance again.

It was fun, probably the most fun I've had. Soon the song was over and I was panting trying to catch my breath as Thor comes up and extends his arm for Lady Sif. "I see you're enjoying yourself, Alexandria."

"Yeah. I've never done anything like this before. I can see why you love it so much." I say and Thor hands me a drink and his lady friend one as well. "Does your brother always stare like that?"

"Never. He's usually in the library." Thor chugs his drink and smashes the glass. "Another!" I started laughing and looking around as everyone followed. Now they wait for me. "You have to do it."

I threw back my drink and smashed the glass. "Another!" People cheered and I kept laughing. "How do you all keep glasses?!"

Thor shrugs. "You should talk with Loki. You haven't said much to him since you've arrived."

"Fine, but he has to dance."

Thor laughs. "Good luck, Lady Stark."

I smiled. "I am a Stark's daughter, persuasion is one of our many specialties." I pat his shoulder and walked over to Loki's seat. "Hi." He looks at me. "You wanna dance? I heard it's rude to make a lady ask."

Loki rolls his eyes. "Not going to dance. Find someone else."

I crossed my arms. "I figured, since you've been staring at me since I waked in that door, you'd want to." I sighed. "Well since you won't, I'll go ask Volstagg. Thor says he's been begging to get closer with me."

"That oaf? He practically has two left feet plus he has wandering hands." Loki gets up and offered his hand which I take. "You'd rather dance with him?" He asks, looking at me.

I shake my head. "Of course not, but it was him or Fandral and I wasn't going to dance with Fandral.. he smells as if a swamp could puke. I figured you'd be a better dancer than those tow anyways." I sighed. "And I may have hoped you would have said yes..."

Loki steps forward with his left foot as I stepped back and we both stepped sideways with our right. "Obsessed are we?"

I looked at him. "Annoying are we?" Loki smiles a little as we continue the dance. "Thor said you usually stay in the library when these things are happening. Why is tonight any different?"

"I just don't feel like reading the same books over again." He answers, looking down at me as another song starts playing. "You look gr... you really are fitting in here."

I chuckled. "I stick out like a sore thumb here."

"Your brother seems different when she's around." I looked over where the voices were coming from, to see Frigga and Thor talking. "He seems happy."

"Yeah, maybe she will do him some good then." Thor walks off.

"I knew it."

I looked back at him. "I forgive you." He looks confused. "For what happened, but I still want to know why... please Loki. The truth this time."

"I have told you the truth. I was bored, so stop asking me about it." Loki clears his throat. "Will you excuse me?" With that he walks off and I'm left standing there alone, confused.
