I sighed and looked for something to act as a wall so I could change. "Alexandria? I was sent to take you to the guest chambers for you to get ready." A guard says.
Oh thank god. I nodded and waited for the field to go down. I hurried and got dressed into my training armor they provided for me and was escorted to the arena to see Loki waiting. "Professor Loki."
"Don't."
"Do you always have to be so boring?"
He rolls his eyes. "Do you always have to be this irritating?"
"If by irritating you mean cute, then yes I do." I smiled sarcastically. "So what are we doing?"
Loki thinks for a moment. "Small things." I just looked at him waiting for more information. "We're going to try this." He sticks his hand out and little fireworks start shooting up.
I put my hand out. "Okay, now what do I do?" I ask.
"Uh, I usually just think about what I'm trying to accomplish and it happens."
This seems pointless... three, two, one. Fireworks!
Nothing.
Loki puts his hand up to stop me. "Okay, close your eyes and really visualize what you're wanting to do. You can do it because you can do anything."
I closed my eyes and thought as hard as I could before I heard crackling seeing little sparkling light shooting up a few inches from my hand. "Woah. That's cool." I smiled while watching it. "How do I get it to go away?"
"Close your hand." I did as he said and the fireworks disappeared. "You learn quite fast."
"Well, I am a genius and so is most of my family."
Again Loki rolls his eyes. "Wait here." He says before going and picking a flower and jogging back over. "Turn this frog into a flower again." He scans his hand over it and it shape-shifts into a frog.
"Are you kidding me, that's impossible! It's moving and gross." I said looking at him. "We're not in Harry Potter taking transfiguration classes."
Loki crosses his arms. "Get. The. Amphibian." I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms looking at him tapping my foot. "Seriously?" Loki snaps his fingers and the frog teleports onto his hand. "Now, change it back into a flower."
I stared at the green thing wiggling in Loki's hands. This is disgusting! Flower! Don't look at the eyes. I shake my head. "Nope! Can't do it." I looked away from the slimy creature. "Look, I can deal with aliens and all that, but frogs are a huge freaking no."
"Think of it as an alien then, not an amphibian."
I almost cringe looking at him. "It's the eyes and the slime... it's just not happening."
He tosses the frog down and shook his head. "You're pathetic."
*day 30 of training*
The past month has consisted of reading book after book on magic and allowing your inner emotional control guide your ability to focus those positive or negative emotions into your magic... let's just say that's been the hardest part for me. I feel like I'm failing over and over again.
"Here read some of these it may help." Loki drops down four book that have to be between six hundred to a thousand pages. I give him a look. "Don't give me that look, this is what my mother did when she taught me."
With a sigh I rub my eyes not being bale to see straight. "We've been reading for weeks now without actually doing anything... I thought we suppose to work on this whole magic thing." He start looking through the book completely ignoring me. "You know, that's cool too. It's not like I'm use to you ignoring me."
