"What are you doing sitting here?" Aunt Amalia asks, going over my closet. "Studying? Seriously, do you ever take time for yourself?"

I looked over to her. "I don't have time to party. I-I have finals."

She comes back out. "Alex, you are a Stark. In all honesty you could've been done with school already. You graduated high school at almost seventeen. I know you've had some events the last year to really mess with you, but I know you can pass anything. So come let loose it's your birthday!" I looked at my aunt as she had a hopeful smile on her face. "Your dress is hanging in your closet bathroom. I wish I had one in mine."

"Fine, an hour and then I'm coming back to study." I said and got up as she sat down on my bed.

I got into my deep red, A-lined, mermaid dress with gold embroidery around the cut out. I put on the gold strappy heels, curled my hair pinning the front small sections back into a half up half down mini poof. Nude eye shadows with a medium winged-liner and a red lip to match the dress.

When I walked out aunt Amalia's face lit up. "Oh my god! I knew my niece was gorgeous, but you're glowing!!! Good thing it's your birthday or else you'd be stealing someone else's spotlight." She laughs and hugs me.

"I'm not over dressed am I?"

"Of course not." We started towards the door.

She hurries down the stairs before I get there. I see everyone from the banister railing, they're all mingling and drinking. Deep breath Alex. I start walking down the stairs and dad looks over before grabbing the mic. "If I could have everybody's attention. I'd like to say a special happy birthday to one of the best daughters a father can hope for. Alex, happy twentieth birthday, sweetheart!" I smiled and made my way down the stairs as Steve rushed up and put his arm out for me to take.

"Just like old times, huh? You on my arm." I ignore his comment and just kept smiling as everyone clapped.

About an hour into the party I was bored and waiting for it to end. Thor came up to me and pulled me aside. "I made arrangements and since you asked how my brother was I thought you could ask him." I looked at Thor before he grabbed my hand and led me to a corner away from everyone else and Loki was standing there sipping his drink and looking around.

"I see your home is back to normal."

I walked up to him and slapped him as hard as I could across the face. "That's for what you did to us." I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at my hands thinking, "why did you stop my dad from killing me?" I looked back at him.

"I was bored."

I shake my head, not believing it. "That's crap and you know it. Why? Don't I, at least, get an explanation after all that? The least you could do is tell me the truth. Tell me why you stopped it." I said at almost a demand. "And if I failed you, why didn't you just kill me yourself?"

Loki looks away from me for a moment. "It would have been pointless and like I said I was bored."

I start getting frustrated with him. "Is your head that far up your own ass that you won't just come out and tell me?" I see Amalia turn back around and walk in the other direction. "A-and what did you do before you flipped out, there was this... this, like, purple glow around you."

"What are you talking about ?" He asks, confused. "You must have hit your head pretty hard because there wasn't any glowing or light near me, love."

I nod my head. "Y-yes there was. You're not going to make me sound crazy, I saw what I saw." Loki turns to walk away. "Loki, no I deserve answers. Don't walk away from me!" I said sternly and grabbed his wrist.
