There are many strange people in this world of ours, but sometimes the strangest people are only strange because they speak the truth which you choose to ignore.

"Halos!" I shouted as I entered my french class. And before you ask, yes, I say halos instead of hellos since I like angels so much from all the stories I've read about them.

And since you are wondering who I am, my name is Brooke Perrywinkle, and I am in the eleventh grade. Yup, that's right, only two more years left in this torturous place they call school because they, sadly, couldn't find a better name for Tartarus as to not scare kids away.

I walk up to my two best friends, Rose and Jules (a.k.a. Julia), who are talking in the three minutes we have left together before our teacher starts teaching so she won't loose her job to this monstrosity we call our class. And yes, our class is really that bad, trust me, I know because I have to suffer through it everyday.

I placed my backpack onto my desk and quickly ran over to the other side of the classroom where my friends are speaking. I walked up quietly behind Jules and was soon noticed by Rose. I put a finger against my lip in acknowledgment, and she quickly understood what I meant. I tickled the top of Julia's head and Rose shouted, "SPIDER!!!"

Julia let out a series of bloodcurdling screams that would've made anyone within a ten mile radius go deaf. After she calmed down from her screams, she looked around and realized the whole class, or whoever was in there, were staring at her. She mumbled a quick apology and snapped her head towards me and sent me a glare.

"Really? Did you two plan this? You know I get scared easily!" Jules frantically spoke to us.

"We didn't plan this, Jules," said Rose, "but next time you should pay attention whenever Brooke walks in shouting 'HALOS' like a mad woman."

"Hey! I have to make my presence known somehow, and apparently, I've gotta work on better ways to get certain peoples attentions *cough* Julia *cough*." I retorted.

Suddenly, there was an evil glint in Roses eyes and before I knew it, she grabbed my hat and ran of to the other side of the classroom. Now you see, I like to wear hats to school, it's my signature style, and my friends like to steel my hats (mainly Rose) and run away.

I chased after Rose while Julia was laughing like crazy. Finally I got my hat back and right at that moment, the late bell rang and our french teacher, whom I really despise, starts teaching and explaining the lesson. The only funny thing was that when she told us to be quiet on our way up to the language lab, she stared at both Rose and I, since we like to talk a lot.

What! It was her fault for making the mistake of seating us next to each other. Sadly, Jules is on the other side of the room, but imagine the trouble we would have caused if we were all sitting next to each other!

By the time my fifth period lunch rolled by, I was already exhausted and ready to get all hyped up for p.e. next period. Ya, I know, how unlucky am I? I mean, who puts gym right after lunch on someone's schedule?

Now let me explain my friends. Julia has very dark brown hair that reaches up to her mid-back and is slightly shorter than Rose and I. She gets scared very easily and is what I would call a weird nerd. For me, being weird just makes you unique and not normal and the same as others, and that my friends, is a good thing. Julia is also one of the those people who memorize and study everything. She even made me memorize the longest word in the dictionary: pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis [noo-muh-noh-uhl-truh-mahy-kruh-skop-ik-sil-i-koh-vol-key-noh-koh-nee-oh-sis] which is a type of lung disease. I know, it's crazy, right!

Now Rose, on the other hand, is very loud and out going. She is not afraid to speak her mind and is very smart. She is also hilarious. Rose's hair is dark brown with golden highlights running through them. She is slightly taller than me and wears red glasses.

And then there is me, a combination of shy and outgoing with no highlights and red hair that is short in the back but gets longer in the front. Think of it as an upside down 'V'. I wear black glasses with my signature hats which are fedoras. I'm 5'8" which is a nice height, if I do say so myself.

As I waited on the lunch line, my guy friends (cause I'm just that awesome!), Thomas and Chris ran up to me. They quickly started speaking at the same time all out of breath. And all I heard was a bunch of gibberish.

"Wait, wait, wait. I cannot understand a single thing you guys are saying. Speak one at a time." I told them, saying the last part slowly. I wondered what kind of news this was, since it was so important that those two were frantically speaking at the same time.

"They are coming!" They spoke in unison, which was kind of weird. I immediately understood who they are talking about as my eyes widened in shock.

THEY were coming back for revenge...
