Everyone was chilling in a room.
Y/n, Denji, Power, Izumi, and Kobeni on the beds with Denji and Izumi laying down comfortably and Y/n, Power, and Kobeni sitting down.
Power: How's your buddy always sleeping?
Y/n: I dunno.
Himeno: Lil bro, want a smoke?
Y/n: Nah, I don't smoke.
Himeno: Alright.
Y/n: I can smoke a few packs of cigarettes, and it won't affect me since I'm also a smoke human.
Himeno: Huh?
Y/n: You know what, give me one.
Himeno: I didn't think you would actually want one.
Y/n: Nevermind then.
Himeno: Uh... Okay.
Aki: Here's the rundown of our situation. No matter how many stairs we climb up or down from the eighth floor stairway, we always end up on the eighth floor. It's likely the handiwork of a devil. We tried climbing up through the ceiling, but the eighth floor was above that too.
Y/n: Isn't it because of Power? She killed the devil after all. That devil must be used its power to trap us, then it died leaving its power to stay on.
Power: Denji said to kill it!
Denji: Did not!
Aki: Devil's powers are undone when they die. So that's impossible.
Himeno: Aki, any movement from the flesh piece?
Aki: About that... It completed stopped moving.
Y/n: So we walked straight into a trap?
Himeno: This is the first time I've had a devil try anything this tricky.
Arai: But... When we don't come back... Won't other devil hunters come to resucue us...?
Y/n: Hm...

Arai then screams in front of her.
Arai: K-Kobeni! Stay strong! You're working as a devil hunter because you want to put your older brother through college, remember?!
Kobeni: I was half forced into it... My parents only care about my gifted brother... They want to put him through college, so they put me to work... My only options were to be a sex worker or a devil hunter!
Then she starts crying while sweating.
Kobeni: I wanted to go to college too!! But I'm gonna die here!!

She bursts out laughing.
Arai: Why, you...! Don't laugh!!
Y/n: Yeah, don't laugh. She had a dark past.
Himeno then comforts Kobeni.
Himeno: Oh, Kobeni... Fear is a devil's favorite food. If you act scared, you'll be giving them exactly what they want.
Kobeni: But I'm so scared!!
Himeno: You two, Y/n, Aki. What's the matter?
Y/n: Aki was looking at a clock and I too, realized that the clock's been at 8:18 for quite some time.
