Reze wakes up wearing Y/n's shirt on the sand.
She sits up and looks to her left.
Reze: I can't believe it... Why did you revive me...?
Y/n: This pretty peaceful, isn't it?
Reze: ...
Y/n: It doesn't matter if I killed you, turn you over to the Public Safety, or let you kill me, it will always be how I lived before. Plus, I can't let someone that made amazing memories within my head die shamefully. I want to say, thank you for those memories...
Reze: Could you still say that if I killed you right now?
Y/n: You can't really kill me, but if you managed to do so, congratulations. You might be the first ever person to have the balls to do the job. I'll gladly thank you over and over if you would do it.
Reze: Pfft... Ahhahaahahahahaha!! Ahhhh! Ahh...
Y/n: Yup. Always got laughed at.
Reze: By any chance... Do you think I still actually like you?
Y/n: Hmm...
Reze: Every expression, every blush since I met you, all of it was a lie. The product of my training.
Y/n: A part of me says yes, and the other part of me says no. It doesn't matter, we won't even see each other anymore after this. And also, I don't think I've told you the story of how I was always rejected and made fun of because of my desperation for love.
Reze: Alright.
She turns around and walks away.
Reze: I failed... I spent too much time fighting you. I'm running now. Bye.
Y/n: Good luck out there, Reze. You tried your best to end me.
Timeskip
While Reze was walking through an alleyway, dozens of rats appears.
The rats builds up and blocks Reze's way.
She was about to pull the pin on her neck, then she hears a familiar voice.
???: Me too.
Reze's shocked, but she didn't let go of the pin.
It was Makima.
Makima: I like the country mouse too.
She picks up a rat and stares at it.
Makima: My friend has this farm out in the country. Every fall, I go visit and give them a little help with their work. Rats hide in the soil in the fields. They'll damage the crops... So before the ground is covered in snow, you have to exterminate them. You do it by digging into the soil and having dogs catch and kill them...
She lets the rat free.
Makima: ...And I couldn't tell you why... But I find watching that to be very calming.
A spear then comes from the sky and it slices Reze's arm and wrist off.
Makima: That's why I like the country mouse.
Reze gets a knife and she appears behind Makima, only to be shot again by a spear from the one and only, Angel.
She was gonna pull the pin, but her weakened hand was moved away by Makima.
Reze: Really... Why didn't I kill you the first time we met?
Her mind thinks about the first moment she met Y/n.
Reze: Y/n... Truth is... I've never gone to school either.
She falls flat on her back onto the pool of her own blood.
Makima then takes out the spear.
Makima: I told you to come with Aki. You didn't want to make Aki kill a girl. You're kind.
Angel: I am an angel, after all.
A rat stops by Angel.
Angel: Tell me... Is the city a good place?
