"Listen up!" Coach Orion yelled at us, the team slowly quieted down. We've been at Eden hall for a week and it's been mostly hell.

Charlie's pissed and he's very grumpy when he's not happy with something. I try to keep our spirits high but it's hard, with adam on Varsity now the tension has gotten even worse.

I zone back into Coach Orion Blabbering on per usual, "You're sloppy! You need to clean up your act if you want to be better and win! So... i'm bringing in some help!"

I was about to zone out again but a girl skating closer brought my attention back fully. She has dark hair that's  half braided back but the ends fell right after her shoulders. Her hands rested behind her back as she stopped next to coach. She wore black leggings and a white zip up jacket that fit her very well, her leg warmers over her skates made me smile.

"This is Shay Pierce. She's the number one skater at this school and she's going to help you with your own skating!" he crosses his arms as a small smile rests on her face. I just happen to notice that her face is very pretty.

"Hi!" she looks at Julie and gives her a small wave. Hm...

"Shay!?" Kenny practically screams next to me, he skates quickly towards her and hugs her.

"Kenny!" She hugs him back, but their laughing soon stops as Orion gives them a look. They both mumble a 'sorry' before Ken skates back to me.

Luis elbows me and leans into me a bit, "Screw the cheerleaders, Figure skatings where it's at..." he licks his lips like a pig.

Coach yells at us again, "Five laps first!"

We all start skating and after two laps I hurry to get next to Ken, "Yo ken, what's the deal with her?"

"She was my old figure skating partner before I joined team USA." he explains, "I felt bad for leaving her but she pushed me too..."

"She's hot." averman and fulton skate behind us as they laugh.

"I mean you're not wrong there... she's always been gorgeous." Ken shrugs like it's the simplest thing in the world.

Connie and Julie are suddenly in front of us, skating backwards as Connie rolls her eyes, "Could you please stop talking about how hot my roommate is?"

"Yo she's your roommate!?" Russ asks.

"Yes, and?"

Luis smirks, "I'll give you Dwayne if you give me Shay!" The girls scoff and skate away.

"Anyway... We won gold before she fractured her ankle. I knew she started again but I haven't seen her in a while." Ken waves at her as she gives him a sweet smile.

We do another lap, "She any good?" I question, eyeing her as I skate.

"Fuck Guy... You're in for a real treat." He laughs before lining up with the team again.

She's a hardass. We do too many drills that make my feet hurt, Fulton looks like he's gonna pass out, and Dwayne already fell and is icing his head.

Everyone's sweating and of course I look over and see Shay, nothing has changed except her skin has paled a bit and her cheeks and nose are a bit rosier.

"Come on Coach!" Charlie complains as we skate backwards through cones, "Give us a break!"

"If this is harder than normal practice than I may just need to step up my game."
