We have practice the next day, and the day after that, and the day after that.

But we're in a good groove. A healthy one.

We finally have Adam back and it's the best thing ever. Practice is fun, Everyone messes around but doing way better than before.

And of course it helps that Shays there.

The whole practice we bang trash around. Its fun as fuck, trying to get the old bagels and cans into the goal. We're real bonded again. 

She skates up to me, her cheeks pink and her hair pulled back. She's wearing leggings and a blue tight tank top, looking annoyed.

"Hey. What's up?" I say as she huffs.

"The guys are killing me. 'why was he in your room shay?' 'what were you doing shay?' 'how come he looks so happy shay?' It's infuriating." She crosses her arms and I can't help but think it's adorable.

"They'll get over it." I hope. They've been giving me the same shit after the whole 'Guy in the girls dorm' debacle.

"Everyone's looking though- Your skating is insane now." It's true, Shay has helped me so much it's crazy. Kinda sad because I don't fully need her anymore but I still mess up sometimes to get her attention.

After everything that's happened, Hans, Bombay, the Varsity team... I've barely gotten any alone time with Shay. And our practice has been forever long, luckily tomorrow we have the day off.

"Thanks! What are you doing tomorrow?" I smile and face her more, in my ducks jersey and pads. She looks to the ice.

"Uh... nothing much."

"Well uh..." I swallow, "I was thinking we could-"

We're interrupted by Leo Pierce walking up behind us. We're standing on the ice but leaning against the wall so he comes right up to us.

"Hey sis." She frowns.

"What do you want?" She's still pissed about the board meeting and how the varsity reacted. Leo didn't really say anything against us but he didn't not say anything either.

"Chill Ice queen." he rolls his eyes, he's carrying his stick and a duffel bag, "I wanna make sure you're coming with me tomorrow, Mom and Dad will be pissed if you don't."

Of course she has plans.

"Uh yeah whatever."

"You cant still be mad about the meeting- I told you I wanted them to stay..." The look on his face is genuine.

"Whatever Leo." she speaks up more, "I'll go with you. But..." She looks around, "Guys coming with." What!?

I say it out loud, "What?"

She side eyes me, "Yup! Mom and Dad will love him." Leo scoffs.

"Alright. They will be obsessed with the boy who was caught in your dorm room." She clearly didn't think of that because her eyes dart down to the floor and she blushes.

"I'll see you tomorrow Leo." She grabs my wrist and skates away.

Guess I'm in for a great friday.

We have the day off because of some campus hero day or whatever, most kids go home to see their family.

"Shit!" I'm walking with Shay to the parking lot, "I didn't even ask if you wanted to see your family!" she looks horrified, "I am so sorry I dragged you into this!"
