Shan's Day

"ayi, ayi, wake up!"shan's being doing this for an hour now.

i was sleeping soundly but here he goes and tries to wake me up.

i was trying to open my eyes while talking to him.

before he could walk away, i stood few inches away from him holding fresh tulip bouquet.

i took out his car keys from his pockets.

he didn't noticed that i was driving in a different path.

i was trying to act fool and said i was just following waze.

i parked in front of a party venue and he started questioning me.

"love, where are we? bakit tayo nandito?"

i turned around him, smiling.

"love, its not funny, what's happening?"

i held both of his hands.

we walked together as we enter a ballroom with lights off.

i suddenly left him alone standing and ran.

"kierra? i swear i'm joking, what the hell is happen-"

"happy birthday, prosecutor lopez!"

lights opened and music played.

he was in shock and couldn't process everything.

i walked back to him and gave him another tulip flower.

"are you surprised?"

"isn't it obvious?"

shan was starting to cry but couldn't as kalix and hiro teased him.

he was still processing the happenings but started to entertain his guests. the program started with luna and sevi as hosts, as usual.

"my dearest kuya, happiest birthday. you have no idea how lucky i am to have you. before i met sevi, you showed me and made me feel loved. you made realize how i was supposed to be loved. i know kuya you're getting annoyed with all our shopping dates because of spending too much money but in all honesty, those amount of clothes and bags i spent will never match how i enjoyed the time being with you. as much as wanted to gatekeep you like how you are to me, you deserve to be loved and taken care of. she's here kuya. she came back. i hope you stay with each other up until the end of time. shakierra end game ha? happy birthday kuya."

i was starting to get emotional little by little until luna called me to speak.

i took out the envelop and gave it to him.

"this isn't the gift you would expect me to give you but this will literally change your life."

tears were starting to form in his eyes.
