"Avi, I have a work po, 3 days straight sa US."

"Po? You will not be here for daddy's birthday?"

"I told daddy na about this baby. He's fine with it po. Mommy will be bawi next year."

"He will get mad at you, mommy." 

"No baby, besides this is his first time celebrating it with you."

"Thank you thank you!" 

I was on my way home from a very long flight. I left my car at home so I booked a grab instead. 

While waiting, Avi suddenly called me.

"Daddy? When are you coming home? Mommy left na for work."

"I'm coming home na baby. Where are you?"

"Tita-Ninang's house. Tito Clyden's here too."

"Really? Okay, just wait for me."

I was so excited to see Avi.

I didn't know I fell asleep during the ride. The driver woke me up when we reached Sam's condo.

I went down and head straight to Sam's unit. I was expecting Sam to open the door for me. But it was Naomi.

"Hi Kuya Hiro. Pasok po!" Naomi greeted me.

Avi ran towards me and hugged me so tight.

"Love, I will leave you here muna with my bags ha. I'll just get my car para we won't book a grab na."

"You're leaving again po?" asking me with a pleading face.

"No baby, I'll just get my car. Daddy left it at home kasi before I left, mommy needs the car that time." I gave her assurance as I pat her head.

"Okay daddy, I'll wait for you." she hugged me. 

I asked Naomi to look after her again. 

Before entering the elevator, Sam called me to ask if I picked up Avrielle already. I told her I will come back with my car left at home. She said she went out with Clyden before he gets back to duty.

As soon as I got home, I could hear voices inside the house. Familiar cars were parked in front of our house.

They were planning on a double date, they didn't bother asking me because Yanna's not around and I wanted to date Avi on my birthday. 

I didn't stay too long because Avi wanted to go home already. 

There were no traffic so I was able to pick her up immediately. Sam was back at her condo too.

Avi was too talkative during our ride back home. She kept on sharing stories about her school friends and teachers. She kept showing me her activities.

After being away with her, this was my third time being with her.

I couldn't imagine my life if I stayed with Yanna.

I wanted to be with them during those years that Sam stood up as Avi's father. I owe Sam.

We got stuck in a traffic, so I asked her to take a nap and we'll eat out before heading home so we both could rest early.

While waiting, I took out my phone to play some Disney songs to help her have a good nap. 

Her backpack was full packed. I got curious why, so I decided to check it out.
