Chapter 3: Attention

Y/N talked all night as he was reunited with his friends and started practice right away with them right after. He met An's partner Kohane and she truly was just as An described her. The squad got along with Y/N as it made the practice more fun and enjoyable.

When it was finally the day of the performance, it was also Y/N's first day of school. He would be enrolling in Kamiyama High School along with An, Akito, and Toya. He was placed in class 1-B and was lucky enough to sit next to Toya.

School itself was the same as always. Other than getting the attention from being the new transfer student, it was taking classes and hanging out with the boys during lunch and break. Y/N also got the chance to meet a couple of students he used to know and had a small talk with them as well.

When school ended The members of Vivid Bad Squad and Y/N were supposed to meet in front of the school gate, but surprisingly no one was there. Until Y/N received a text from them in their group chat.

"Helping out the sports club, committee work, and also committee work," Y/N said reading the texts. "I'm sorry Y/N but do you think you can pick up Kohane for me? We'll meet you guys on Main Street where we'll be performing."

Y/N got similar texts from the other boys as he sighs and heads to pick up Kohane at Miyamasuzaka Girl's Academy. Thankfully, An gave Y/N the directions so he could find his way there. When he arrived, the bell signaled the end of school. After explaining his reason for entrance to the gatekeeper, he made his way to class 1-A where Kohane was.

Upon entering the classroom, he had everyone's attention as he could feel their eyes on him. It couldn't be helped since it was a girls-only academy, and a boy was here most likely looking for somebody and they were all eager to find out who it was. Y/N felt embarrassed and overwhelmed at the same time as he noticed the horde of students trailing him right after he stepped foot in the academy. All Y/N wanted as of now was to find Kohane and get out of there as soon as possible but as he looked around the classroom, the girl he was looking for was nowhere to be found.

"Um... does anyone know where I could find Azusawa Kohane?" Y/N said as he could hear squeals behind him.

A girl with green eyes and grey hair came up to him with a response.

"If you're looking for Kohane, she left to submit some papers," she said with her arms crossed.

"Oh! Thanks for telling me," Y/N said as the two remained in awkward silence until the grey-haired girl spoke once again.

"What brings you here?" She asked bluntly. "What's your relationship with her?"

The air got a little tense as Y/N was cornered to a wall at this point and was getting nervous by her questions and the audience seemed to enjoy the whole situation. Y/N was usually carefree and had no problem with speaking to girls and getting along. It's been a while since he was on the spot like this.

"Uh... were acquaintances?" Y/N said nervously.

"Uh huh..." she said with a sigh. "Well, no matter."

The grey-haired girl went back to her seat and gathered her belongings and left the classroom without looking back. Y/N felt a bit weak in the knees as he just wanted to lie down. He leaned on a wall as a different girl with light grey eyes and shoulder-length brown hair came up to him.

"I promise I'm not a bad person or anything, I swear," a nervous Y/N said.

"No no I was just going to tell you that Kohane was going to be back pretty soon," she said with a reassuring smile.

"Oh," Y/N said with a returning smile. "That's a relief."

"My name's Hanasato Minori," she said lifting her hand. "I'm Kohane's friend."

"My name's Y/N L/N," Y/N said as they shook hands.

There was another moment of silence between the two but this time it was one of... Well, not nervous.

It was Minori who broke the silence.

"Can I ask you a question?" She asked.

"Sure," Y/N said hoping it wasn't about anything related to Kohane. "What is it?"

"Were you perhaps a part of an idol group by any chance?" She said gaining Y/N's attention.
