Chapter 9: Wonderhoy

"You seem rather tired today," Toya said to a hunched-over Y/N.

"You could say that" Y/N said stretching and yawning.

"I'm guessing it has something to do with your plans?" Toya asks as they make their way to buy lunch.

"I'm glad that my parents approved it," Y/N said. "I should have thought about the work I have to finish before making it official."

"I'm sure you'll do great," Toya said.

"I don't know if it was just me, but I felt my parents were relieved in a way" Y/N said as he put a hand on Toya's shoulder. "I hope this can help out with the situation with your father."

Toya chuckled in response. "We'll see about that"

The two stood in line and waited for their turns to buy lunch. They talked about minor things until somebody loudly shouted for Toya's name from across the building.

"TOYA!" A blonde guy alongside a purple-haired guy approached the two.

"Ah! Tsukasa and Rui senpai!" Toya said. "What brings you here?"

"We saw you walking by, so we decided to say hello!" Tsukasa said in a loud voice.

"We saw an unfamiliar face, so we decided to greet him as well" Rui said looking at Y/N. "So, you must be Y/N."

"H-Hello! My name is Y/N L/N! It's a pleasure to meet you" Y/N said.

"Say, Y/N!" Tsukasa said with a grin. "Do you like shows?"

"Shows?" Y/N asked.

"Performances or skits that are done on stage," Rui said. "We perform shows in Phoenix Wonderland."

"I used to go there a lot when I was a kid," Y/N said. "I think I saw some and enjoyed them."

"Is that so?" Tsukasa said smiling as he clearly had something in mind. "Would you like to come and watch us?"

"That would be awesome!" Y/N said with excitement.

Rui handed Y/N two tickets. "These are for a show that will start after school."

"Thank you!" Y/N said as he waved his seniors' goodbyes.

"It's great you got tickets for tonight's show Y/N but..." Toya said pointing behind them.

There was a whole line of students that were waiting for them to buy lunch and Y/N had been in their way. They quickly apologized and bought their food, leaving Y/N embarrassed while Toya was amused at the situation.

"Anyways, do you want to go to the show with me?" Y/N said taking a bite of his food.

"Normally I would, but I have things to do today," Toya said.

"I believe Akito and An do as well."

"Who am I going to invite then?" Y/N said looking at the two tickets.

"I may have someone in mind."

"I didn't know you were a fan of shows Kohane," Y/N said.

"Before I joined Vivid Bag Squad, I used to watch a lot of shows!" She said.

Kohane and Y/N arrived early and decided to enjoy the amusement park before watching the show. They still wanted to be there before the show, so they made sure they weren't late. The stage was small compared to the others that were in Phoenix Wonderland, but it had a wholesome feeling.

"Oh! Is that Y/N I, see?!" Y/N turned his attention to a familiar loud voice.

"Welcome to our stage," Rui said with open arms. "I see you've brought our number one fan."

"Huh?" Y/N said confused. "Kohane?"

"Kohane!" A loud pink-haired girl said hugging Kohane. "I didn't know you were coming!"

"Emu... you should introduce yourself first" a green-haired girl said.

"Oh yeah!" She spoke. "Come on everyone let's do this!"

"D-Do we have to?" The green-haired girl said shyly.

"3... 2... 1!" The four performers gathered their hands. "Wonderhoy!"

Kohane smiled as she followed their gesture.

"My name is Emu Otori!"

"My name is Nene Kusanagi. Nice to meet you."

"Rui Kamishiro," he said with a bow. "Pleased to meet you."

"Although we've already met, I'm Tsukasa Tenma! The leader of our group Wonderlands x Showtime!"

"My name is Y/N L/N," Y/N said greeting them. "I look forward to the performance!"

"Hahaha! Well, you've come to the right place!" Tsukasa said. "We only show our audience the best of the best."

"The show will be starting soon so sit wherever you want," Rui said.

Emu and Nene followed Tsukasa and Rui went backstage after saying goodbye to their guest. Y/N saw the Wondershow members talking about preparation for their show and got curious. He asked Kohane how the shows were managed and was surprised they did it all by themselves.

Y/N was surprised at the number of people that showed up for the show. If Y/N was honest, when he first saw the stage, he thought only a few people showed up to watch but he was wrong after watching the show. He was amazed at how easily he was able to understand the story they were reenacting. The songs they sang were stunning as well as their dancing. He was hooked on the show as if he was starring in it and Kohane noticed this and quietly chuckled at the concentrating Y/N.

When the show was over Kohane, and Y/N waited until the other came off stage and Y/N bombarded them with compliments about how much he enjoyed the show. Nene, Emu, and Rui smiled at the sight while Tsukasa was taking it all in with his head hung high laughing.

"Those two seem to be getting close," Nene said.

"You should too Nene," Rui said.

"Me? Why should I?" Nene said shyly. "Not that I have anything against it..."

"I heard he was in class 1-b, and last time I checked, you were also in that class."

"Eh!" Emu said. "Nene is in the same class as Y/N?!"

"...Eh?"
