Chapter 10

Liam just stared at her.
"Ano? Huwag mo kong titigan, I need an answer. Why?" dugtong na sambit ni Chai sabay upo sa tabi ni Liam.
"Because I want to be with you." sambit nito.
"Ha? Seryoso?" gulat na tanong ni Chai.
"I love you, even if it's too late." Sabi ni Liam.
Napabutong hininga si Chai.
"Mahal din kita, alam mo yan diba? Pero hindi sa ganyang klase nang pagmamahal. Of all days ngayon mo pa talagang piniling sabihin yan?" upset na tugon ni Chai.
"Kasi naisip ko mas Mabuti nang sabihin ko kesa hindi ko masabi kahit kailan..." sabi ni Liam.
"Anong gusto mong maramdaman ko? Sumaya na sinasabi mo sa akin ngayon yan, sa araw ng kasal mo? Ano tatakasan mo yung 250 guests mo na naghihintay sa'yo diyan sa venue? We can't do that bes, hindi tayo ganyan. And besides I can only see my future with Min Jeong. Get your act together. Huwag mong sayangin si Dolly!" sambit ni Chai.
Liam then hugged Chai one last time and she hugged him back.
"Gets kita bes... nasanay ka kasi na lagi akong nandiyan. Natatakot ka na mawawala ako. Pero... hindi naman ako mawawala eh... madagdagan ka pa nga oh, isang taong super hands on sa'yo and when you guys need me, I'll definitely be there..." bulong ni Chai kay Liam.
Tinitigan ni Chai ang kaibigan at inayos ang bow tie nito.
"Ok ka na, balik na ba tayo?" tanong ni Chai.
Liam nodded.
Pagdating nila sa venue, sobrang worried na ang mga tao, kagyat na nilapitan ng wedding coordinator si Liam.
"Sir, saan po ba kayo nanggaling nag-aalala na po kaming lahat..." sabi ng wedding coordinator at kinayag si Liam patungo sa photographer.
Min Jeong approached Chai.
"Where did you find him?" tanong nito.
"He's just relaxing across the garden. He's having cold feet, but I was able to convince him to come." Chai said.
Napangiti si Min Jeong rito and Chai smiled back at him.
Maya-maya pa nagsimula na ang wedding march.
Nagkatitigan si Chai at Liam na magkasunod sa pila dahil siya nga ang best friend and uniquely weird best woman of the wedding.
Naglakad na ang parents ng groom at sinundan ito ng groom. Kasunod si Chai.
Liam stared at Chai while walking towards him holding her bouquet of flower. She was smiling at him and ended up standing beside him.
Maya-maya pa pumasok na ang bride in her dazzling gown. Sinalubong siya nang kaniyang tatay at sabay na lumakad patungo kay Liam.
Siniko ni Chai si Liam. Nagkangitian silang dalawa.
Finally, when Dolly reached them, the father of the bride gave his daughter's hand to Liam.
Chai walked and sat beside Min Jeong.
The ceremony started... andiyan na ang exchange of vows at ibang wedding tradition.
"...and now I pronounced you husband and wife. May I present to you Mr. and Mrs. Liam Quiñones" sabi nang officiating minister.
Bago tumungo sa area ng reception ay nag-photo op muna uli sa venue.
"Ms. Chai, thank you." sabi ni Dolly kay Chai when it's her chance to take the photo with them. Kasama niya si Min Jeong.
Chai hugged Dolly.
"Walang anuman, saka pag wala tayo sa office, friend mo ko, Chai na lang, remember, asawa mo ang best friend ko. So I salute you, for braving the world and marrying this person." Sabi ni Chai.
"Hoy, naririnig ko 'yung mga sinasabi mo, ayusin mo..." sabi ni Liam.
The couples posed for the photos. Thereafter Chai and Min Jeong went to the reception area.
The guests danced and enjoyed the night away. Halos nakauwi na ang lahat naiwan si Chai, Min Jeong, Liam at Dolly sa venue.
Liam approached Chai.
"Salamat sa lahat." Sambit nito.
Napapa-iling si Chai.
"Ano ka ba, ikaw 'yan! It will always be my pleasure to help my best friend. Pero ngayon may bago ka nang bestfriend..." sabi ni Chai.
Nangiti si Liam sa narinig. Siya namang paglapit ni Min Jeong.
"Why do you love this guy?" tanong ni Liam kay Chai habang kaharap si Min Jeong.
Nagulat si Min Jeong sa narinig.
Chai looked at Min Jeong.
"With that simple conversation in Seokcho, I found the connection I have been looking for and from that day on, I said to myself if this person will pursue me, I'm willing to take a chance just to be with him, even if it will be for the shortest length of my life because that connection that we have is special and everyday it made me feel that I just wanted to be with him." sambit ni Chai.

Inakbayan ito ni Min Jeong.

"You take care of my bestfriend, ok?" sabi ni Liam kay Min Jeong.

"You don't need to worry about that. Because I am going to love her for the rest of my life..." sabi ni Min Jeong.
