Exer's POV:

Winter break is finally over. The snow melts away into water. The weather gets warmer. And the dirty stares at school get worse. I don't blame them though. But at least I have people who are there for me.

Me and David walk into the school. The wind breezes inside the hallway as we open the door. My anxiety goes up when everyone stopped what they're doing to stare at me. Thousands of eyeballs burning holes at the back of my head. I just hope this day goes well.

"It's okay, we'll get through this together." David whispered close to my ear. His warm smile made me feel a bit better. I breathe in, then out. I managed a smile. We both enter our first class and sat down. Only to have more eyes on me. And some were on Jackson. Jackson has been getting a lot of attention since the stage ceremony situation. But this time i wasn't jealous.

Me and David went to our Spanish class. I sat down and sighed. There was a lot on my mind. Ever since Jackson forgave us it was like a lot of weight came off my shoulders. It's not like we're best friends though. Which I understand, he deserves better. But it was nice to have him at the New Year's party. Anyways, my magic has been growing powerful each day. I manage to control it but sometimes when I have strong emotions it seems to slip out. But whenever David's around it calms down. He makes me feel... safe. I could feel my cheeks getting hot as I turned to David. He was talking to someone behind him. Looking at him for some reason makes me have butterflies in my stomach. I wonder why?

David's POV:

After class me and Exer walked to out lockers to change books. The hallway was filled with people. Two girls walking and talking through the busy hallway. One boy fell down and dropped his stuff with some others giggling at him. And then there was Richard and Marty, coming our way with bad vibes in the air. Oh boy...

"Well well, look at the couple. How cute." Marty said. Both of them snorted. Exer rolled his eyes. "Isn't it getting boring to be bothering us all the time?" Green mist started to flow in the air. Oh no. "No not really." Ricky smirked. Both boys were one inch away from each other, staring into each others souls with the most hatful glares. I was worried about Exer. If his emotion get the best of him his magic will flare out.

Nobody's POV:

The tension grew as well with Exers powers. David, not knowing what to do, did something he will soon to be regretting. "Looks like his boyfriend is getting mad." Both bullies teasing Exer. "Why do you care. So what if we were together? Big deal." Exer scoffed back. "Exer... calm down." David reached for his shoulder. Exer sighed and his eyes softened. "Look, I don't have time for this. Just leave us alone." "Whatever." Both bullies walked away laughing and snorting. Another sigh left from Exers mouth.
