Exers POV:
After school me and Day went over to my house. I still can't stop thinking about all the times Ricky and Marty has teased us about being together. Being gay isn't a bad thing, right? I just don't understand why people don't get that. Or... am I gay? HA! I think I'm losing myself now. I've always identified as a heterosexual man. But I guess I do have something for David. WHAT AM I SAYING.
David and I sat across from each other on the couch with a bowl of popcorn in between us. We were watching Jaws, again. David has somewhat of a fear of the ocean. He jumps every time the jump scares come in. Like right now. He jumped and screamed like always. But then he holds my arm. I tense up not knowing what to do. Im not sure why this makes me feel this way. I don't know why I get butterflies in my stomach, my heart starts to beat faster, or why I seem to be blushing. David realized what he had done and pushed away from me.
"Oh! Im sorry." He says quickly. Even in the dark I could see him turning red. "Nah bro, I-its okay." Me stuttered made me sound nervous. Gosh, why are we like this?
Nobody's POV:
The two best friends watched the movie in silence. Both were embarrassed of what just happened. It didn't make any sense. Why are they all of a sudden so awkward. They've been best friends for a long time so why is this happening now? Exer sighed and lifted his hand to get some popcorn. He froze to feel David's hand on his. His heart beats fast again. The two looked at each other slowly and started to apologize again. This time Exer was through with it. He stood up and turned on the lights.
"Okay what is going on?" He questioned David. David tried to act stupid but he knows that Exer will figure him out. "W-what d-do you mean?" The blond boy struggling to get his words out. "Us! Being awkward like this. I keep on seeing you blushing and looking at me." David's been caught. He starts playing with his fingers. Silence again. Exer rubbed the top of his nose bridge and sighed again. He's been sighing a lot today. "Does this have to do with what happened today?" Exer asked, breaking the silence. David slowly nodded his head. Exer walked back to the couch and sat next to David. "David is there anything you want to tell me?" The blond boy didn't want to confess to him. But maybe get something straight for once.
"Exer..." he finally said. "I think im..." he paused for a moment. "gay?" It sounded like confusion when he said it. "Are you sure or are you not?" The brown haired asked. "Maybe... im not sure. I mean, don't get me wrong I like women but I also like men." Exer was relieved. He hugged David and David hugged him back. "Thank you for telling me Day." He whispered.
