Exer's POV:

I was startled by the touch of Brenda's hand on my back. I let out of heavy gasp as my heart almost went out of my chest. "I DIDNT DO IT!!!" I yelled out. Crap, now I just look stupid.

"Huh? Oh, b-Brenda." I said. She had a worried look on her face. "Oh, geez, Exer! Are you alright?" She asked. Pff, what am I going to tell her? Oh yeah, I was staring at your brothers ass! "I thought you'd be feeling better after yesterday. You look flustered." "Yes, right now looking like a tomato." Ron added. I tried to show less emotion so Ron doesn't read me out. "W-what? Nah, I'm fine." I stuttered. I get off the bleachers and made my way towards the door. "Sorry, guys. I just need some fresh air. I'll see you at lunch."

I make my way to the bathroom to cool down. Everything is becoming to be too much. I turn on the faucet and splash my face with cold water. I shivered. When I open my eyes I look at myself in the mirror. So yeah, I like my best friend. And I think he likes me too. But how is this going to work when I already dated his sister?! I groaned and splashed more water on my face.

Brenda's POV:

I saw Exer walk out the double doors. I sighed and looked down. "I know something is going on." I say to Ron who was beside me. "Maybe you should talk to Exer." He replied with his Russian accent. Maybe I should. But he said he was okay. But he clearly doesn't look okay! I finally made up my mind and decided to go talk to him. "Thank you Ron." I said. He smiled at me and then looked at something else. He wasn't fond of eye contact. I went off the bleachers and I was about to make my way towards the double doors. It was until David stopped me. He looked pretty worried.

"What happened with Exer? I saw him walk out the door." His puppy dog eyes shined. He was truly worried about Exer. Well of course he is, he's his best friend. "He just went out to get some fresh air. For some reason he's been acting strange lately." I fidgeted with my hair. "Strange? You're going to check up on him right?" I smiled and padded his shoulder. "Yes I'm going to, don't worry." I waved at him bye and he grinned a bit then back to his worried face. I walked out to the double doors, the wind from the push touched my skin.

Exer's POV:

I stayed in that bathroom for 10 minutes. I just zone out and try to calm myself down. But David keeps popping up in my mind. And, dad. I feel bad for him. He doesn't deserve a son like me. I'm not sure how he will take the magic stuff. Maybe I won't tell him, yeah. But, what if he soon figures out?? I get frustrated and pull my hair until the pain is too much to bare. "WHY CANT LIFE JUST BE EASY?" I yell out. "FIRST I HAVE A CRUSH ON MY BEST FRIEND AND IM A TERRIBLE SON." I try my best not to cry. But hot tears come out of my eyes. I wiped them away and tried to breathe. Dad taught me to breathe since he's a therapist.

Brenda's POV:

I walk around the empty halls wondering where Exer is. I pass by a few classes, some classrooms are quiet, others booming with laughter and conversation. That's when I passed by the boys bathroom that barely anyone uses. I was going to take a turn till I hear someone yelling in there. Startled, I walk towards the bathroom door and place my ear on it. "FIRST I HAVE HAVE A CRUSH ON MY BEST FRIEND AND IM A TERRIBLE SON!" My heart dropped. That was Exer's voice.

Nobody's POV:

Exer splashed water on his face, again. This time it's to get rid of his puffy red eyes from sobbing. He dries his face with his shirt and walked out the door with his head down. Til he saw something in the corner of his eye. Brenda. Exer jumped and had a look of disbelief. "BRENDA?" He said in a loud voice. "Why are you here? I told you I was fin-" he was stopped by Brenda's hand on his mouth. "Listen Exer, YOU ARE NOT FINE." Exer has never saw this side of her before. She took her hand off of his mouth, he remained quiet. "Please Exer tell me what's wrong." Exer fidgeted with his fingers. "Brenda... I think I like someone." He paused so she could respond. She didn't and just signaled him to keep on going. "And it's a dude." Silence.

"Yes I know." Brenda then said. Exer's head lifted in a panic. "W-what? You know, and who it is?" Brenda's head nodded. Exer's stomach dropped. He felt tingling in his hands. "Brenda I can explain. I'm sorry for doing you like that I-" "Exer it's okay!" She interrupted his sentence once again. Exer raised an eyebrow in confusion. She said it was okay? "You didn't hurt my feelings. I'm just a bit shocked but I think it's best for you guys to be together." Exer could feel tears all over again. "I love seeing my brother happy and you happy. I support you Exer and there is no need to apologize." The tears then came out of Exer's brown eyes as he smiled and hugged Brenda. Brenda hugged back even harder. The bell rang in the background. Doors being opened aggressively and thousands of footsteps can be heard.

Exer was relieved.
