(Third person's POV)

"STEVEN?" Elina shouted as if she couldn't believe her very own eyes. She almost thought that she was hallucinating at that time. But her hallucination turned to her reality when...

"Hey baby! We are meeting again here!" The man greeted her in his most cheerful tone. His eyes were sparkling and it was evident that he didn't know he could see her again twice on the same day, at this fateful racing place!

Brother Dew, who was standing beside them, just looked between the two, as he scratched his head and said, "Well, I guess, you two know each other already. So we can skip the intro-"

"Of course!" A cheerful male voice rang in the underground hall.

"Of course!" A sarcastic remark echoed everywhere.

With that the others excluding the two felt that as if an aggressive ray of light passed from Elina's eyes which in the middle met with the lovey-dovey ray of light from Steven's eyes.

All the brothers had long stood up from their 'seats' as they slowly came and stood beside Dew. They all started to whisper to him one by one.

"What's going on?"

"Did they know each other from before?"

"Hey Brother Dew, did our Magma hire someone who is acquainted with Lini? That's why he directly started working here with us without any trial?"

"Brother Dew, is that true? Were you also in touch with Lini all this while?"

"Brother Dew, say something, na!"

But the Brother Dew in question had all his focus on the two leads in front of him only. And just like all, he had the same question too.

'Does Lini and Steven know each other from before? Did Magma, their sponsor of the races, hire Steven only because of Lini?'

As this was an open secret to all that Magma likes Lini and her races the most. So, that one always prefers to keep people or things that make Lini's stay comfortable in the arena.

But looking at her eyes, it didn't seem the case as she was clearly throwing daggers with her eyes to the newly joined member here.

Elina and Steven stared into each other's eyes for quite some time and when everyone thought that they were about to do something extreme, Elina moved forward closing the distance between him and hers, as she lightly punched on his arm and giggled, "So, You're a manager here!? I can't believe my new boss is a manager at the racing arena! Wowww!"

Steven just smiled his sweet attractive smile as he patted her head softly.

Others who had just assumed two of them were enemies....

'Can't you just show the expression that you're currently feeling, Lini?! We almost thought about reporting this incident to Magma!'

All thought this at the same time.

"Umm... sorry to interrupt. But will you please elaborate what is going on here?" Brother V who at last couldn't take it, walked near the two and asked as he looked in turns between the two.

"Yes! I agree. We need all the details. From the starting to the ending! All!"

"I don't get it why did he call you 'baby', Elina? Are you dating him?" Mike said as he narrowed his eyes on Elina who appeared a little rabbit and Steven who was a big bad wolf.

Others remained quiet but with their silent yet determined expression, all were cleared. They all want to know more about Elina and Steven.

'Well, damn possessive brothers! Both thought the same thing at the same time as the two involved chuckled after looking at each other, hearing both curiosity and confusion in their voices. Elina sweetly walked towards them as she wrapped an arm on Brother V as she acted cute by shaking his arm coquettishly, "Oh c'mon! Don't be mad! I'll tell you everything!"

And by that, she told them everything of what happened today and all the little things among them (except the kitchen hug part) that left Steven speechless.

'She... How could she-?' Steven wanted to think about something and figure it out. But he found all of his words and thoughts were getting jumbled on each other as he heard how she had taken note of everything and every detail.

After hearing everything from her, all of them calmed down a little.

"Oh! So this is how it is! You two gave us a shock!" Brother Dew said as he dramatically patted his chest.

Gruns raised his hands as he patted her head while advising and warning, "Oh Good, Elina! I almost thought you had a boyfriend at such a young age. Remember, not to get involved in any relationship yet. Puppy love isn't good for your mental health!"

"Yes, He's right. You'll get unnecessary stressed and everything goes so sh*tty at that time," Jake volunteered to the lecture.

"And if you get a boyfriend, you'll have a lot of hopes and expectations from him, won't you? And what if he's bad and breaks your heart? Won't your hopes and expectations also break? So no relationship now!" Kruen also joined.

Elina just stood there while tightly pressing and biting her lips. She had no idea how her meeting with Steven changed to her having a boyfriend. But whatever her brothers were all saying, she could feel why they were telling those words to her.

"I-I understand," She said as her head drooped down as the last night's images started to come into her mind as if someone had turned on the video player of her memory bank in her brain.

She started to recall her time with Daniel.

His confession! Her confession!

His touch!

His gentleness!

His impatience!

Everything of that night came back to her as if to mock her for what she did!

And to add more wounds on her injuries, Steven threw the ultimate bomb among them with a soft voice, sprinkling salt on her burned flesh, "Even though I'm not her boyfriend yet, Elina already has a boyfriend. Don't you all know?"
