Chapter Three

Oliver
The next day, I got up, got dressed, quickly ate some canned beans and headed to the Never-borough gift shop. I was so excited to see Y/N and their friend too I guess. That guy said that they've fooled around a lot but Y/N said they were just friends. Still, I can't help but be a little jealous. It wasn't a very long walk to the gift shop from my cabin so I arrived there in no time. I guess I was early because no one was there except the ranger.

"Well howdy Oliver." He said.

"Hello" I replied looking around.

"You're here early. You looking for someone?" He asked.

"Yes actually I was supposed to meet Y/N here this morning!" I said.

"Oh well they won't be up until lunch. That's their morning." He said with a chuckle.

"Oh well I guess I'll come back later then." I said, disappointedly.

"Why don't you stay and talk until Y/N gets here, actually..." He started talking and I knew I couldn't get out it.

Quite a lot of time passes before Y/N walks through the door with a Lycan. He had dark grey fur and he's buff. He wore ripped dark blue Jean shorts and a blue plaid shirt with two buttons done up. He wore this smug smile too.

"Howdy Y/N! Howdy Devon..." Shuk seemed like he was trying to hide his dislike for Devon.

"Hey Shuk!" Y/N says.

"Hi." Says Devon.

"I hope your alpha didn't scold you too much for being out late." I say to them. Shuk looks surprised by what I said, then serious and leans in to them.

"He didn't hurt you, did he?" Shuk says to them. They lean in to him, noses almost touching.

"I assure you it didn't hurt." They look at him with a smirk and Shuk blushes.

"Well you said you were meeting up. So you kids have fun." Shuk rushed the three of us out. We all look at each other.

"So I'm Devon." He held his hand out. 

"I'm Oliver Steele." I said shaking his hand.

Man I tell that ranger he talks too much one time and now he hates me. Anyways, what is the deal with this human? Why is he here? And why was he sneaking around at night with Y/N? He clearly likes them...

"Why don't we go walk around the path?" I suggest.

"Are you ok with that Oliver?" Y/N asks the human. Why would his opinion matter? He's lucky I said he could come with us! He nods a bit too eagerly. Y/N nods at me and we start walking single file on the path.

"Where are you from?" I ask.

"Oh! I'm from The Capital. Well I'm not from The Capital but I came here from The Capital." He says, flustered. He talks way to much.

"Ok..." I say very uninterested. I was only talking to him to be nice and I only said he could come to be nice.

"Hey Oliver has Shuk showed you around the island yet?" Y/N asks.

"Not really. Don't tell him this but once you get him started he never stops talking. So I have been fishing but I need to go to the shop to get bait sometimes so I can't exactly avoid him."  He says chuckling to himself and Y/N smiles. He's such a hypocrite.

"Hey Y/N why don't we go to our spot? We can all chill and pick flowers." I suggested something to do again. It's because I'm the most dominant. Wait until Oliver finds out Y/N likes dominant guys. He'll be so disappointed.
