Sick (Leorio)

I def dragged out certain parts and made them longer than they need to be.

You woke up with a horrible pain in your throat. It felt as if you had been teleported to a desert in the middle of the night. Drenched in your own sweat, you quietly slip out of bed being as careful as possible to not wake your boyfriend?husband?.
Walking down to the kitchen, your head felt a thousand times heavier than it did last night. You couldn't let Leorio catch wind of your sickness as you know how hard he works. He would insist on staying home to treat you. You stood in front of the fridge downing a water bottle, each gulp hurting worse than the last.
Suddenly a pair of arms lightly wraps around your waist. And your boyfriend Leorio places his head in the crook? of your neck.
"Good morning," he says, voice still raspy from having just woke up.
"Morning," you croak out, trying to minimize conversation due to barely having a voice.
"Are you sick? Your voice sounds sore love." He says removing his head from your neck and turning slightly to look at you.
"Just tired," you squeak out before heading upstairs to take a shower. Your not a very good liar and know if you stay he'll question you until he's satisfied.
You grab clothes for the day and head to the shower being sure to pop a cough drop in your mouth before getting in. It does as little for your throat as the water does for your raging headache and sore body.
You had hoped it was only an off day as you didn't get sick often, but it seemed your condition only worsened as the morning progressed.
Leorio knew you hated the doctors or even being taken care of when sick. You never told him why and he never pried. He also knew of your worries about burdening him with the task of taking care of you. The truth was though, that he enjoyed taking care of you.

(Time Skip - Breakfast)
Leorio always knew when you were sick. He could see right past your lies. You could tolerate a lot but being sick really hit you hard. But he also knew of your unbearable stubbornness. It worried him greatly. How was he supposed to know if you needed immediate attention if he couldn't read you well enough.
Even little suspicion was enough for him, so when you barely spoke at breakfast, and your voice still came out raspy even though you woke up and hour ago, he wasn't buying your claims of wellness.
He sighed dropping his fork and told you he was calling out of work.
"And don't argue with me about this," he said quickly before your protests came.
"I know your sick, your staying home, and your going to the doctor if you need to. No protests!"
You sighed and pouted in your seat. Your boyfriend chuckled at adorableness.
"You'll be fine love I promise." He assured you. He smiled brightly at you and grabbed your hand to calm you down.
After finishing breakfast he helped you up to your room and carefully laid you in bed. He questioned you about your symptoms. You gave in quickly as the pain in your throat increased.
"Don't worry love it seems you just have a bad case of Streptococcus pyogenes!" He told you. Strep throat
"How long until it goes away? It really hurts," you said painfully.
"It won't just go away love. I'm sorry but I'll have to take you to the doctors."
You visibly stiffened and Leorio hoped that you wouldn't resist going.
"Ugh fine it hurts too bad," you sighed giving in.
"Good girl," he smiled relieved with your compliance.

(Time Skip - After the Doctors)
You arrived home after you visit to the doctors. Licking the lolipop you got for your bravery, you plopped on the couch ready for sleep. But the ever growing pain in your throat reminded you of the purpose of your dreadful doctors visit.
"Uhuh you can't sleep just yet. You have to take your medicine first," Leorio reminded.
You groaned and stood up. Taking the medicine from his hand you thanked him and swallowed it.
He helped you upstairs and you both cuddled watching tv until you fell asleep. Your boyfriend turned off the tv and laid his head down happy that you were going to be just fine.
