Better to be a lone wolf, then run with a pack of Hyenas: Rhiannon Rose
At The end of the day, we can endure much more then we think we can: Frida Kahlo
Introduction
Some say to listen to a little voice within yourself, or to watch a hummingbird how it moves and flutters about, to finds that sweet succulent nectar. We all search for the nectar of life, the food that sustains us, but what of our spiritual hunger and thirst for knowledge. The road to spiritual awareness begins with not listening to the voice but hearing one's soul.
One does not begin life knowing all there is to know about growing up, trials, errors, hurt, pain or disappointment. We do not pop out of a cabbage patch and pretend to know everything about love or hate, anguish or loss. A Stork does not drop us into a cradle for our parents to swaddle and care for. Where does life begin and where does it end? the age-old question, what is the meaning of life, why are we here, what is my purpose. We are born, we live, and we die according to medical science. But us as humans must believe there is more, is it past lives, reincarnation or are we part of this vast universe.
I like to think yes, there is more to life then living and dying, there is many bumps in road, as we grow older, we value things more, a smell of a rose in a garden, planting a garden, walking hand in hand with your husband or wife or a simple smile at a stranger in passing. In several cultures the elders are revered, as being wise ones, and the teachers of the young.
When we are hurt, or in pain we cry, and we are happy we laugh, and love and hate are two horns on the same goat.
Black Roses: Roses have many thorns, they only hurt you when you are unaware that they are there. Friends, Family, and people you meet have thorns, thorns for anger, hate, troubles, fears, and above all self-protection, mistaken for mistrust, or just plain jealousy. as children we look at the world through eyes of wonder, fantasy, and having not a care in the world, or at least we are supposed to, that would be normal. But sometimes a child grows up its surroundings that are toxic, negative and dysfunctional. What is a dysfunctional home? an alcoholic mother or father, an abusive sibling or parent, or a child being told he or she is in the way. The answer is all of the above. What about one child being favored over the other, this happens quite often in families and goes well into adulthood. For example, the eldest child has borne the brunt of a parent's anger, parents fighting over the dumbest things, or a mother that literally makes a child he or she is unwanted, and abuses that child, in ways that no child should have to go through. A kid is caught playing with matches, and the parent holds a child's hand over the stove flame or kicks them around Infront of the other parent while that parent does nothing, this is abuse, the sad thing is the parent doing this does not realize they are doing it, or they do, and they don't care. The toxicity runs down like sap from a tree and when you have a parent and a sibling that band together against another child, is even worse. As an adult, I have one sister, she has always been jealous, and competitive, as a child, she would pinch and bite me when things didn't go her way. As she got older, she learned other ways to be cruel she never did anything without expecting something in return, and eventually ignored me all together and only at certain times would acknowledge me. She lies and plays the game to make our mother think she has no fault, but then our mother is the ringleader for that one. I used to give in and be the one to back down, to call and basically be made to feel like the one at fault. I gave into trust and got burnt too many times to count. I trusted friends that took me for a sucker, as well as past family, in-laws, and acquaintances alike. One day I realized black is not just a color, or absent of color it absorbs negativity, removes it like an eraser. Life is like a garden, you feed it, nurture it, and take care of it, and pruning the thorns and weeds. Plant black roses in your garden, keeps you safe, removes doubt and eats the bitter negativity. The thorns are but bumps in the road, they can be removed, take away the things in your life that make you unhappy, the past is gone, never to come back, yes keep it locked away, and learn from it, and keep it in the bedding of black roses.
