Seattle Slew was born on February 14th, 1974. His Damn was My Charmer and his Sire was Bold Reasoning. Seattle would become the 10th triple crown winner in 1977. Seattle slew ended up having 14 wins, winning the Belmont stakes by 4 lengths. He was a very dark bay, almost black. Seattle Slews Sire, Bold Reasoning ended up siring over 366 foals in total, with Seattle Slew being his most famous foal. Bold Reasonings most successful win, was the Jersey Derby. He was considered to be an extraordinary horse, and he was very intelligent. He himself, ended up being an outstanding Sire. Siring over 1,040 foals over 114 of them being Stakes winners and eight champions. He was the nation's leading sire in the racing industry. Seattle Slew was 16.0 1/2 hands, He was Jockeyed by Jean Cruguet, his silks we're yellow with black and yellow striped sleeves.
