."Toriel?" You questioned at the name.
"She's very sweet. Like a mother figure as she never could have children of her own. As she used to be married to King Asgore. Controlling the entire underground together.
"Long after new threats arrived, that's how the underground began to split apart. Toriel didn't like all the murder & and pain her city was in. So she just, left. Now she lives over here away from everyone."
You continued down the staircase until finally reaching the bottom. As you looked around, you could see vines growing from the walls. Deadly thorns stuck out from their stems.
You walked down the long hallway to see a large tree in the middle of an equally large room. It was rather dead and malnourished. Definitely seen better days.
"Up there!" Flowey pointed his leaf towards a double door. Thankfully another set of stair cases leading up.
Holding onto the railing, you walked up carefully, as the stairs looked very .. unsafe. Finally you knocked on the door ..
As time passed, you knocked once more. Still no answer. You were about to turn back around until you heard a faint voice ..
".. Hello ..? Who's there." A woman steadily said behind the door.
"Hi um .. I'm sorry to intrude. Is this Toriel?" You asked, hoping that it was. You didn't feel like waiting any longer ..
"Who's asking." The woman replied in a more strict tone of voice. She reminded you of a faint memory of your mother in a way. Even if you couldn't remember her, it just felt right.
"Well .. I'm Y/N .. I'm a human, and Flowey said I should come here for-" Not even a second passed, as the door opened.
Stood tall was indeed a woman but .. also a goat? She was a lot taller then you by a long shot. This of course startled you, as you instinctively jumped.
Toriel had a shocked look on her features. She looked like she hadn't slept in days .. her white fur was ruffled, her long black dress had rips at the bottom, as well as a chunk of her horn seemed to be missing .. But to top it all off, she had horrible bags under her black eyes.
The more you starred at her, the more her eyes swelled in tears. This confused you.
In seconds, she grabbed onto you and held you tight. You were very startled by the sudden action .. you didn't know what to do exactly. Flowey didn't prepare you for this ..
".. I haven't seen a new human in so long .. please .. please don't leave like they did." She cried. Your heart ached a bit the more she repeated her words. You hugged her back to comfort her.
Soon enough she let go. Backing away ever so slightly. A small smile appeared on her face.
"I must apologize. This is probably all so sudden .. your name was Y/N correct?" She questioned. You nodded.
"I'm Toriel, As you already know by your friend here." She gestured towards Flowey.
"You are one beautiful young lady." She complimented. "Though please, please come in!" She excitingly said. You hesitantly did as she asked.
Your surroundings immediately changing. As a soft gray covered the walls. A calm and humble house, as you put it. You did indeed like the scenery.
You were too busy looking around to notice Flowey moving up to your shoulder.
"I didn't know she was that bad .. I guess it has been awhile .." He whispered.
Toriel moved in front of you trying to hide the pile of books on the floor. She sheepishly smiled once more.
