Part 16

It's 5 a.m. I want to sleep but I can't. I sat up and grabbed my guitar and began to hum "flashlight" by Jessie J.

Zoren and I have been together for 3 days. I never thought it would be this difficult. All I had was my thoughts, my guitar, and this piece of paper.

Wait? Piece of paper? I went to the coner of my room and picked up that piece of paper.

"If you miss me, look at the sky and you will know I am right here guiding you"

My mom opened the door to my room and sat beside me. "Hey,baby girl." she kissed my forehead. "You saw the piece of paper I left for you huh?" She said looking at the piece of paper in my hand. I nodded. "Was it from you?" I asked but she shook her head.

Silence took over.

"It was from your grandmother.. Before she passed away.." she said as her voice broke. I hugged my mother. "Ma, she is very proud of you.. You raised 3 amazing children. Paolo is a doctor, John is in New York and I am here right now, telling you how amazing you are as a mother." I spoke softly.

She wiped the tears and kissed my cheek. "You are the one who can smile and say its alright when things are not going great." She said. "Yeah. I'm that." I smiled and giggled.

She grabbed my guitar and handed it to me.

"Can you play me a song.." She requested. I nodded and played the same song.

I sang softly. My mom smiled and hugged me. "You remind me so much of your grandmom." She said.

We talked for an hour but my mother decided to go to bed.

I still couldn't sleep so I opened my laptop and went on Chatme. Zoren was on.

Zoren: Hey,babe. It's a Saturday and you're awake at 6. What's wrong?
Me: It's nothing,babe. I just couldn't sleep.
Zoren: You sure?
Me: Yeah. I am :) Thanks for your concern babe ^^
Zoren: Ok so whats up?
Me:Nothing. I just missed you 😳
Zoren: aww *hugs* babe, you know Im always around :)
Me: Yeah. I know. Its just its hard...
Zoren: Jess, they didn't say it was easy.. They said it was worth it.
Me: Don't u ever think that maybe you deserve someone better?
Zoren: When I asked you out, I knew what I was doing. I love you and I will never ask for someone better.
Me: Thanks.. :) That was the best thing I have ever had.
Zoren: I love you. *kisses u*
Me: I love you too.
Zoren: why dont you go visit your grandmum babe? Maybe that will make u feel better.
Me: I guess I could do that :) but when do I leave? I cant drive remember?
Zoren: Dont worry. I think I can contact your cousin.
Me: How?
Zoren: Larz and I are pretty close.
Me: oh. Its fine. My cousin David can drive me. He says he's going there anyway.
Zoren: Oh ok,babe. Gotta go to bed now. See you, princess
Me: See you babe 😘
Zoren: :)

I charged my phone and headed to my bathroom.

I picked out my red army navy sleeveless shirt, my jean type of shorts and ugg boots.

I called my cousin and he picked me up 6 minutes later.

I got inside his car and saw a familiar face sitting in the back.

HOLY SH!!

"Dylan???" I asked shocked of what I was seeing. The guy I hate and my cousin?? Hanging out?
"What are u doing here?" I asked shuttering. "Your cousin invited me over.." he said not looking at me.

I sat in the front seat and hit my cousin's stomach. He groaned and started driving.

I plugged in my earphones and I listened to a song I'm not really familiar with yet I knew the lyrics. Odd..

"Lovers dance when they're falling in love.
Spot light shining, its all about us.." I sang along as the song led me off to thinking of what if Zoren came to visit.

I would go to the airport but I dont care what time all I had in mind is what would I do if I already saw him.

I went back to sleep and one thing was on my mind..
