The black sea was sprinkled with white spots, reflecting the stars in the sky above. The prince of Aramis looked out of the bullseye of his cell, listening to the waves crashing against the hull of the ship. Suddenly, his thoughts, that were as deep as the ocean, got interupted by steps on wooden planks. Keys rattled in the lock and Alexander got surprised by a different pirate. The man who walked in was much younger but also far more ugly. 'Especially in personality', the prince thought to himself as he looked into the guys grinning face. His oily blonde hair hung in strands infront of his face. He stopped his disgusting grin when he saw Alexander staring back at him in ire. "Captain Midas wants ya'."; slurred the stranger and approached the young prince. He was freed off his restraints and, once again, held a gun against his head. The abhorrent smell of the pirate almost made Alexander vomit. He reeked of alcohol, which explained his slurring speech, and other disgustig things Alexander did not even wanted to think of. Walking infront of that skunk, with his hands held behind his back, he was led out of the cell and up the stair case.
The pirates stood around on the deck, already awaiting the two. "The prince of Aramis! Pretty little lapdog of King Richard, if you ask me." slurred the skunk loudly, making most of the pirates laugh. The whole scene was terrifying to the prince. But he did not allow himself to get intimidated by those rats. He was not on display for these rum-reeking bastards to see and enjoy his humiliation. Getting led to this captain like a lamb to the slaughter was below his dignity. Instead he raised his chin up high like they were his serfs and kept looking forward to the wooden door leading to the captains cabin. The skunk opened the door and pushed Alexander inside until they were standing infront of a large mahogany desk. The prince got pressed down by his shoulders till he was forced on his knees. A deep but sorta warm voice that sent chills over Alexanders spine came from one of the bookshelves in the dark. "You may leave now, Bill.". In the second the skunk heard it, he nodded and left with one last disgusting grin towards the prince.
A tall figure stepped out of the shadows. Dressed in a crimson red robe there was a man, with sunkissed skin and long, black hair. Shiny earrings, rings and chains were sparking on him and a long, red headband was keeping his black locks in place. A large scar created a gorge trough the smooth tanned skin on the right side of his face. Scarlet red eyes that had witnessed thousands of bloody battles pierced into Alexanders mind and soul.
"Please excuse my crew and their lack of manners". Again, the prince shivered at this dark voice. "But these days it's just too hard to find cultivated and educated pirates for an acceptable crew. I, personally, am pretty sure most of them have never even touched a single book before." Alexander was taken by surprise. This man was talking so politely and with such manners, it was almost like the prince was back in the castle. 'I guess not all pirates are as dumb as said..', he thought to himself. But then, a quiet and dark chuckle waved across the room. It was the captain, starting to snicker into his large fist. The chuckle turned into a giggle and the giggle soon evolved into a loud, barking laugh, probably loud enough to be heard by the crew outside on deck. 'Good lord, this man is a maniac!', the frightened prince thought with a racing mind. 'He's insane!'
The pirate took some deep breaths, trying to calm himself down, still leaving the prisoner infront of him unknown of what could have caused that sudden outburst. He approached him, crouching down until he was at the princes' face level."Let's drop this darn act, shall we, lil' prince?" Nope, still a pirate. He grinned straight into the princes face, eposing one of his theeth replaced with a golden one to him. "Sooo, ya'r the kings' lad, ha?" The closer the captain got to him, the more Alexander tried to move backwards."Indeed. But I don't seem to see how that is any of your business, you dirty scum." Alexander was not going to show his intense fear to that sea rat. No matter how frightening that mans' figure appeared, it would not take the royalty inside of his heart down. The captain raised his left foot and Alexander flinched, awaiting to be kicked for insulting the pirate. But all he felt was leather touching his chin. He opened his eyes when the captain lifted his chin with the tip of his shoe. He stared deep into Alexanders eyes, red ones seeming lost in the blue ones. The prince felt his cheeks warm up while they gained a light rose shade. "Are you...going to kill me?" the man above him shook his head slowly. "You didn't make a mistake. The reason we're keeping you here is your father." Alexanders eyes widened. "What did you do to him?! Where is he?! I swear to the lord above, if you don't tell me this instant, I'll-" the shoe moved away from his chin to his back, quickly pressing him to the ground, making the prince grunt in response. "Is this how we talk to the captain, lad?" Alexander blushed even more as his face was pressed against the wooden floor. The domestic voice of the crimson tiger shark shot through his ears and veins, making him tense up. "The eyes of your 'Lord above' can't reach you here. Remember, little prince. You're not in your damn castle anymore where you made the rules." The captain started raising his voice. "This is MY ship, where I am the captain and where I give orders to YOU. So if anything about your worthless life matters to you, you will listen to me and do as I say, understood?" The whole body of the prince of Aramis was on fire, burning like it had been thrown onto the same burning pile as his dignity, his pride and his ancestry. Slowly, he lifted his head before lowering it, then up again before letting it back down. The captain looked at the royal infront of him with a satisfyed grin. "You royals don't know how it feels like to be the one on their knees, begging for forgiveness. Being the one on top for an entire lifetime turns you into rotten scumbags ,seeing yourselves as a superior form of life. We both are rulers. But while you little mutt were just lucky enough to get born into the royla bloodline, I had to work like a dog, day and night, fighting my way up to the top. I have earned this position with my own bloody hands and I'll not tolerate you or anyone in this world telling me what to do. From this day on, you'll be nothing more than my dog, a little plaything to keep myself occupied. You will only adress me as 'captain' or 'sir' until I tell you otherwhise, is that clear?" Again, Alexander nodded, not knowing if his red face came from his anger, his embarrassment or something else, something way more intense and sinful than any feeling he had ever experienced before.
"As for your father..", the captain sat down in the big leather chair, still keeping his foot on Alexanders back. "We weren't able to catch that lil' rat. That dirty mutt must've escaped somehow. And that's where you join the game, as my little pawn on the chessboard." The prince looked at captain Midas furiously. How dared he to speak like that about his father, the mighty ruler of the kingdom of Aramis?! But Midas didn't care. "As his only offspring, I'm pretty sure he'd do anything to get you back. Not because he loves you in any way, just because he needs someone to take over the kingdom once he dies. Better said, once I, the crimson tiger shark, finally ram my sword into that scums neck and kill him." The captain laughed loudly again. "He surely knows that I was the one who captured his precious little prince. We just have to wait for him to send his mighty crown guard after us. The rest of my plan stays in my head for now. But now you know why we did not kill you when we had the chance to. Now, you are MY precious little prince."
