Ahsoka's POV

I opened my eyes. Blinding white lights beamed down on my face. I blinked once, then twice, and sat up. As I did, I felt something tug at my arm. I looked down and attached to my hand was an iv. That's when I realized I was in the medical bay. I quickly pulled the iv out and stood up. I noticed I was still in my combat suit, and my lightsabers were on my belt, along with my comm link; which was attached to my arm. One of the troopers noticed that I was up and rushed over to me.

"Commander, you should lie back down."

"What happened, how did I get here?"

"You were found unconscious in the hallway by the mess hall," That's when it came back to me. I must have passed out when I got the vision. Wait, the vision! I had to get out of here right now.

"How long have I been asleep?" I was trying to act as calm as possible but on the inside I was starting to panic.

"Almost 15 hours."

"What!" How in the galaxy had my vision lasted for that long? In past experiences I would get them in the middle of the night while meditating and they usually only went on for a few minutes at most and a couple of seconds at least. I imagined it must have something to do with my new powers and abilities. "I need to go, now."

"Commander, you should really lie back down." The trooper said as he put a hand on my shoulder and tried to push me back down onto the cot. But I easily shrugged his hand off and kept walking forward.

"I'm fine." I said, about to rush out of the room but then I stopped and asked, "You wouldn't happen to be a pilot would you."

"I am," He stated hesitantly, "Why do you ask?"

"Cause I am going to need your help, follow me."

Less than thirty minutes later the trooper, who I found out was named Chopper, was flying me down to the planet of Umbara. Momentarily we were about 1,000 feet above the last location the 501st was reported and I could sense that they were close by.

I said into my comm, "Chopper, stop here."

"Comandar, you're not thinking of jumping down there?"

"That's exactly what I'm thinking, thanks for the ride, now get back to the cruiser." I said pressing the control button, allowing the doors to open. I was immediately met with a violent and bitter wind, I quickly grabbed on to the handles so I wouldn't go flying out.

"Good luck comandar."

"Thanks, I am going to need it." I took a breath, closed my eyes, and jumped.

It only took a few minutes to reach the forest floor and as soon as both my feet were on the ground, I broke out into a full sprint heading right for where the distant screams were coming from. I estimated they were about one click away from where I was, and with my enhanced speed it didn't take me long to close the distance.

As I got closer and closer I could use my super hearing to understand what Rex was yelling, "They're coming from all directions! We don't have any cover! We need to pull back. Get them to follow us. If we can draw them out, we can see them. If we can see them, we can hit them. All squads, pull back now!" That couldn't be good. They were in trouble and they needed my help. I sped up and in seconds the terrain of where the battle was taking place became clear. They were on some kind of road with no cover whatsoever. The different lanes were lined with blue lights, illuminating the path. Some parts of the road had been blown up, most likely from hidden mins. Bodies of already dead soldiers were scattered everywhere. The air was thick with the smell of blood and death. Injured soldiers moaned and yelled in pain, as they begged for a quick death, so that there suffering might end. My enhanced hearing definitely did not help, the screams of soldiers echoed in my ears like blaster shots hitting my head. The enemy was quickly advancing and there were already many casualties. I jumped into the air, so high that I went above the all trees. As I came down in the center of the enemy forces I slammed my right fist onto the road. Sending a force wave through the ground that knocked them all to their feet. I quickly stood and used the force yet again to make the Umbarans levitate. I pushed my hands down, slamming them all back onto the road. I could hear the hurrahs and cheers from behind me as I turned on both my lightsabers and charged at the enemy.

I only made it through a few of them before the Umbarans started rapidly retreating. I didn't waste a minute, as soon as they were on the run I turned around and rushed back to the 501st.

Rex, who saw me first, rushed over to me yelling, "Ahsoka! Boy am I glad to see you."

"I am glad to see you too Rex."

Soon all the clones saw me, many came over to say something along the lines of, "That was insane, how did you do that? And wow, go Commander Tano."

Soon the troops settled down and tended to the injured as well as prepared for the imminent battle ahead. "Now where is this General Krell?" I asked Rex, turning my attention back to my real mission at hand, to stop what I saw in my vision from happening.

"He's probably coming down here to yell at us this very moment," Fives said who I realized was standing right behind me.

"CT-7567. Do you have a malfunction in your design?" I saw that a Besalik male who was at least a few feet taller than me had come striding down towards us. His head was held high looking above all the soldiers as if he were better than everyone else. His two lightsabers swung on his belt. Both ginormous and double bladed just like Darth Maul's. Within seconds he was standing in front of me, a towering figure, his face cold, and deadly. "You've pulled your forces back from taking the capital city. The enemy now has control of this route. This entire operation has been compromised, because of your failure."

"General Krell, in case you haven't noticed, if it wasn't for Commander Tano none of us would be alive. Surely you won't fail to recognize that," Fives spat out only inches from General Krells face.

Krell grunted as he turned on both his lightsaber and placed them dangerously close to Fives neck, "ARC-5555, stand down."

"Sir. Yes, sir," Fives then walked off with a look of defeat and frustration all over his face. General Krell managed to calm down enough to place both his lightsabers back in there designated spot, which they never should have left.

"Captain Rex, who is this Commander, Tano," He said my name as if I was a useless person who would only waste his time.

"That would be me," I said, taking a step forward, "General Krell I am Commander Ahsoka Tano of the 501st and Padawan of General Anakin Skywalker."

"I see, I don't recall you being assigned to help with this invasion."

"I have been helping from the side lines with the strategies planning, but since my master has been called back from the front lines I thought you would like an extra hand down here and clearly I was right because all these men almost died," I said in my most respectable voice possible, even though inside I was boiling with anger.

"Because they didn't follow my orders."

"Sir, if I may address your accusation, I followed your orders. Even in the face of a plan, that was, in my opinion, severely flawed. A plan that cost us men. Not clones! Men!" Rex asserted as he took off his helmet, "As sure as it is my duty to remain loyal to your command, I also have another duty. To protect those men," I had never heard Rex talk that way, with such dignity and disgust at the same time.

"You have a spark of tenacity, Captain. I'll give you that. I know that I don't command like the Jedi you're used to serving, certainly not like General Skywalker, but I have my ways. It may be difficult, but these are difficult times. And it's proven effective. And I suppose your loyalty to your men is to be commended. They seem to admire this. That's important to an effective commander. All right, Captain Rex, your opinion has been noted. As for you Commander Tano I will allow you to stay but you must follow my exact orders, is that clear?"

"Crystal," I say, smirking back at him and allowing a touch of sass to come through in my voice.

"Dismissed," Was all that Krell said before he walked away.

"I think he almost complimented you," I whispered to Rex.

"It's hard to tell," Rex murmured, looking off into the distance. He seemed so defeated. I knew things were bad, but now that I was here, I could see that it was much worse than I originally thought. General Krell treated these clones, my friends, my brothers, like they were trash and I wasn't going to allow that to happen again.

Seconds later a clone nearby announced, "The enemy is coming back."

Rex turned to face me, "Well Ahsoka, you ready for another battle."

I smiled at him, "I was born ready."
