Ahsoka's POV

The 501st had been making their way towards the capital, but we hadn't been able to get very far due to the resistance. Momentarily, we were under heavy fire from fighters, raining bombs down on us, as the enemy also attacked on the ground. The men were retreating back to where General Krell was. I had only met him a few hours ago, but I already absolutely hated him. He was a coward who risked the lives of others while he stood on the sidelines and watched. His battle plans were ineffective and highly dangerous. I also couldn't shake the feeling that he wasn't here to help us. That he was our real enemy and we just couldn't see it.

A few hours later we were on our way to secure a base that Master Kenobi said was the key to taking the capital. When we arrived at a ledge we decided to do some reconnaissance.
Rex exclaimed,"There's a base there all right, and it's heavily guarded. At least three tank divisions, plus guns."

"We'll advance along the central gorge and engage their forces in a full-forward assault," General Krell commanded, with all four of his hands behind his back, his stance tall and stern.

"The gorge is narrow, sir. We'll only be able to move our platoons in single squads. Perhaps a closer recon will tell us if there's a more secure route," Rex said.

General Krell in response stated, "Obi-Wan and the other battalions are holding off the enemy right now while they wait for us to take out this base. We don't have time to look for a more secure route."

"Yes, sir," Rex said sternly.

"Sir, if I may talk to you privately," General Krell only responded by crossing his arms. Which wasn't a no, so I decided to continue talking, "This is a highly dangerous plan. There is a very small chance we will be able to take this base."

"I don't care what you think, I am in charge and you will do as I tell you, soldier."

"Excuse me, I am not just a soldier, I am the Commander of this batellion."

"Well maybe that title should be taken away because all you seem to do is argue with me, unless you follow my orders I will have you watch from the sidelines. Is that understood?"

"Yes sir," I decided to walk away after that to where Rex was standing. "I tried, but he treats me the same way he treats all of you."

"Well then we don't have a choice," Rex then turned towards all the troops and said, "All right, listen up. We'll assemble the squads into two divisions. We'll move straight up this gorge towards the airbase at the far side.

"The casualties are going to be high."

"Is Krell trying to get us killed?"

"You know, I wasn't sure that Krell was crazy before, but now I'm positive," Jesse chimed in.

"We had to retreat from the capital because the General pushed a flawed strategy. Now this?" Fives yelled.

"I don't know! Could be fun," Even though Hardcase had his helmet on I could tell he was smiling.

Dogma jumped in exclaiming, "Well, I, for one, agree with the General's plan. We're running out of time and this is the best option."

"No recon? No air support? We don't know what we're up against. They have weapons we've never seen before."Jesse screeched, knocking his helmet against his head in frustration.

"A few of General Skywalker's plans seemed reckless, too, but they worked," Rex pleaded to his men as he tried to get them to agree with General Krell's utterly absurd plan.

Fives responded with, "Yeah, but General Skywalker is usually leading his men up in the front not bringing up the rear like General Krell. A full-forward assault would leave us too exposed."
