A seven-year-old Stiles and Allison ran through the forest racing each other. Allison jumped the creek first. Stiles had tried to save time going an alternate way but because of it he jumped at the wrong point and landed face-first in the muddy creek.

Allison doubled over laughing. "Oh shut up!" He whined standing up only to fall down again getting mud everywhere there wasn't some already.

Allison was so preoccupied with laughing her butt off that she didn't notice Stiles getting out of the muddy creek. And by the time Stiles wrapped his arms around her waist, it was too late to stop him.

"Stiles!-" She tried to yell out, but it turned into a squeal as she landed in the muddy creek. Suddenly she was very thankful she didn't wear anything nice.

Now they both were covered in mud. And it was Stiles' turn to laugh as he jumped in with her. Causing a small mud wave to douse Allison once again.

"It's not very nice to laugh at people is it?" Grabbing a clump of mud she chucked it at his face. Hitting him smack on the cheek. Then he pretended like it was a fatal wound, falling all the way into the mud to the point that she couldn't see him anymore.

"Ever heard the term don't pick on a girl?" Allison said. Hand on her hip as she smirked at the mud, looking for him and starting to get worried that he wasn't coming out.

"You started it!" He said. Popping out of the mud right in front of her. She laughed.

They were right in front of each other now. And though they were covered in mud Stiles couldn't help but look into Allison's eyes, seeing all the color in those deep brown eyes.

Allison found herself staring right back. Seeing the small flecks of gold in his honey-colored irises.

She slowly started moving forward, Stiles' eyes widened slightly but he had a feeling if he moved at all he would ruin this moment. She lightly pressed her lips to his mud-covered cheek. Making his face turn beet red. Though thanks to the mud hopefully she couldn't see that.

As she backed away she smiled a nervous smile and Stiles' face broke out in a full-on grin.

"I want to be with you the rest of my life." He whispered, completely in dreamland, and her smile only widened.

"I like the sound of that." She said, her blush more visible since she hadn't fallen on her face.

Stiles nodded and stood up, pulling her with him.

"We better go get washed up before our parents ground us." He said a permanent smile on his face.

"Actually, uh, real quick... you're my best friend, and I can't imagine knowing someone funnier, or more sarcastic in my life. I say we make a pact. Best friends for life, through fear and strife." Her face stretched into a grin.

"Why fear and strife?" Stiles asked.

"When we get scared we'll be there for each other, when we're in trouble we'll be there for each other. Always." She said, holding her pinky out.

He smiled at her. "I like the sound of that." Crossing his pinky with hers.

Author's Note -

This will have a somewhat slow buildup, but I'm going to make it worth it. Please comment on what you think will happen! Who knows, I might even incorporate some of the suggestions.
