THE WITCH OF HAWKINS

THE WEIRDOS ON MAPLE STREET
***

The boys stared, a shocked look on their faces as they looked at us.

(TIME SKIP)

As we sat on the couch, we were asked many questions.

"Is there a number we can call? For your parents?" A pale, shaggy haired boy asked.

"Where's your hair? Do you have cancer?" Asked the boy with hardly any teeth.

"Did you run away?"

"Are you guys in some kind of trouble?"

"Is that blood?" Asked a boy with a camouflage bandana, reaching for Eleven. But the pale boy slaps his hand away.

"Stop it! You're freaking them out!" He says.

"THEY'RE freaking me out!"

I never understood what was happening. Were they talking about us...?

"I bet they're deaf!" The boy with no teeth yells, clapping his hands in our faces. We all flinched.

"Not deaf."

The pale boy sighs, "Alright, that's enough, alright? They're just scared and cold."

The thunder scares us. We held each other close.

The boy comes back with clothes, clothes for all three of us. For Eleven, blue joggers and a sweatshirt, for seven, a black T-shirt and sweatpants. And as for me, a blue sweatshirts and loose jeans.

"Here, these are clean. Okay?"

We cautiously accept the pieces of clothing, and start to take off the yellow T-shirt given by Benny before he had died.

The boys cover their eyes in disgust, "Oh my god! Oh my god!"

"No no no no!" They yell.

We were stopped by the pale boy,

"See over there?" He points to a room.

"That's the bathroom. Privacy. Get it?"

We understand, but don't say a word. We gather our clothes and walk into the "bathroom".

The bathroom was very strange, like nothing I've ever seen before. It was dark.

The boy begins to close the bathroom door, but I stop him.
