Barret's PoV
I'm currently on a train waiting for the best time to jump off out of it.

 I look right behind me to see my friends waiting in anticipation for what we were about to do.

the group consisted of the duo Biggs and wedge, Jessie and me, usualy we would have Tifa with us but this time we had a stranger, A blond spikey haired man with an x scar on his head,he was wearing a strange attire consisting of a white cloak above a black kimono and he was wearing sandals?
 Tifa said he used to work for shinra's military but his eyes lacked the symptoms of mako enhancement which means  he was not a SOLDIER.

"Listen to me Blondie, you do a wrong move and I'll kil you.
You might be Tifa's chilhood friend but you're still a dog to shinra  in my eyes so you cannot be trusted."

He looked at me with an amused face seemingly agreeing with me doubting him."AHAHA I see prudent as possible I appreciate it but just one thing..."

He then stops laughing and glared at me... I feels chills go down my spines, Tifa said to not anger him no matter what but I just thought it was because he was a childhood friend.

"Since Tifa didn't say a lot about me I'll let it slide this time, but know that I won't let you talk down to me, while I appreciate the doubt I don't tolerate disrespect."
Then suddenly the environnment starts heating It was cold minutes ago but now I feel like we are in the middle of summer.

"Insult me one more time and that's the last thing you and your groups will do, I'm here because I was asked to, I'm not even asking for any payment for this gig... UNDERSTOOD?!"

Now I understood why Tifa insisted of having him, just feeling his pressure makes me want to beg for forgiveness.

"EH!? you're doing this for free I thought you would take everything from us ahahah." Biggs was the first one to try and settle down the situation.

Once he hears that the blonde man calm down and send him a friendly look.
"Ohh I see why the three of you were sending me those glares hahahah! don't worry I'm just doing this because Tifa said that you were all important for her, we've been through a lot in the past see so when she ask me for something I know it's important for her."

He says that while wearing a warm smile on his face, Tifa rarely talks about her past but she once told us about the person she called Big Brother Cloud, I can now see why.

"...Alright I let my judgment cloud my mind, I'm sorry let's start again My name is Barret, those two are Biggs and Wedge and the lady here is Jessie."

as I introduced them,they each did a wave to him to which he nodded back acknoledging them.

"Alright I think Tifa told you that much but I'll say it again, I'm Cloud Strife, I used to work for the military in Shinra As you can judge for the eyes, I was not a member of soldier but don't underestimate me for that I could enter the program but It would turn me for Shinra's dog for all my life which is not something I wanted at all, though I was strong enough to be partnered with first class soldier on dangerous mission."

If he didn't display that strange pressure earlier I would have call him a liar but I can 100% say he never planned to join soldier otherwise he would definitely be first class.

"If you don't mind me asking... Why did you join and left Shinra?" Jessie decided to ask him.

"Well the reason why I joined was to support my mother and the kids in Nibelheim... though... I suppose Tifa told you what happened to the town, the reason why I left is because I'm searching for a friend, he was a first class soldier and we got separated in one difficult mission, I'm convinced he survived but he is hiding from Shinra somewhere, since I didn't have any reason to stay in Shinra since I had no one to support anymore I just resigned though it was harder because I was too strong to be left off though since I was never a soldier they couldn't hold me for long."
