Chapter 5.

Jungkook and Taehyung were dragged outside and thrown right back into the trunk of the vehicle, despite their  efforts to fight and get away. Thankfully this time they hadn't been syringed unconscious.   

The two held each other in the darkness. Jungkook was still in panic mode and was crying uncontrollably.

"Sell us?! Hyung they can't do that! I don't want to be sold! They can't do that!" Jungkook screamed. Taehyung couldn't see Jungkook crying, but he could feel his maknae's body shaking and hyperventilating. "I want to go home!" Jungkook cried over and over again.

"I know, I know. Shh, breathe. Deep breaths Jungkookie." Taehyung rubbed Jungkook's back. He was terrified too but the less he acted it, he hoped the less scared Jungkook would be. He wanted to be brave for his maknae.

Taehyung tried kicking the roof of the trunk in hopes it would break open, but he wasn't strong enough. They held each others until they felt the car come to a stop. The trunk opened and they were dragged out. The two singers looked around confused.

"Where are we?" Taehyung asked. It was still dark out, making it hard to see.

They were pulled over in the middle of nowhere at the edge of some woods. One of the men who had kidnapped them grabbed their wrists and handcuffed them together.

"Get moving," the man demanded as he grabbed them and pushed them towards the woods.

"Where are we?!" Taehyung screamed again. The man smacked Taehyung hard across the face.

"Don't!" Jungkook screamed at the man as he pulled Taehyung away. His heart was ready to beat out of his chest with fear. He didn't understand what was going on and he didn't understand why they were being forced to head into the woods at night. He wondered if this was the end of it for them. He wondered if this was an attempt at murder.

"Please let us go!" Jungkook begged as the two continued to be pushed into the woods. They seemed to be led down a trail. Soon, they were met with a third man.

"Help us!" Taehyung cried desperately to the third man. He had no idea who he was but he hoped this man would be willing to see their situation and step in to help them.

"They're all yours, captain!" The man holding the two singers said and pushed them forward, towards the captain.

The captain grabbed them both. "Thank you, I'll take them from here."

"Wait, no!" Taehyung screamed. He realized that they were being delivered into the hands of someone else who was also part of this entire operation. This captain was definitely not here to help them.

"I'd put a muzzle or something on that one, kid doesn't shut up," one of the first men said, gesturing to Taehyung. Taehyung made eye contact with the captain and felt the fear course through his body.

"I'll handle him," the captain said as he grabbed the two and forced them to walk. The other men turned and left. 

Taehyung gulped and looked at Jungkook. He saw the pleading look in his maknae's eyes. Jungkook leaned close to him and whispered. "Please don't do anything that will make him hurt you. Hyung, please." Jungkook knew Taehyung was desperate to save them, but he also didn't want to see his best friend get hurt trying to do so either.

Taehyung felt something get pressed up against his back and he flinched before freezing in place. Jungkook looked behind them to see the captain was holding a gun to Taehyung's back.

"No...please..." Jungkook whimpered through tears. He instantly felt sick.

"If either of you even think about trying to run away, that will be the last thought you ever have," the captain threatened. Taehyung stayed silent. He felt helpless at the moment. He knew there was nothing he could say or do with a gun pressed right against him.

Jungkook also shut his mouth. He didn't want to risk saying anything that would upset this man and cause him to hurt them. The captain pushed them forward and they were forced to walk through a dark, cold trail. The captain used a flashlight to guide the way.

Soon voices could be heard in the distance. They walked up a hill and were met with another group of men. There were tents out and small fires going. They seemed to be camping.

It took everything in Jungkook and Taehyung not to scream for help because that gun was still against Taehyung's back. They were both confused on what was going on. It looked like groups of men were camping. What was this?

The captain led them to one of the empty tents and pushed them both onto the ground before undoing their handcuffs.

Jungkook's wrists were bleeding.

They looked up at the captain confused. Were they being freed? They didn't understand. None of the other men were in handcuffs either. However they did all look beaten and bruised up and the singers wondered why. The captain threatened them not to run away as he turned and left them alone.

Jungkook turned to Taehyung. "Hyung! Let's go! Now is our chance!" Jungkook pulled Taehyung to his feet. He saw the open woods as their one attempt at freedom. He didn't see how they could be caught if they ran when nobody was paying attention. Jungkook grabbed Taehyung's hand and went to run until he felt someone grab his shoulder.

"If you want to live, I wouldn't try to do that if I were you." One of the men who was in the camp had come over and stopped them.

Jungkook flinched out of the mans grip and stood in front of Taehyung. "Who the hell are you?"

"Kin-so," the man replied.

"Why can't we run?" Taehyung stepped forward and pouted. He looked around and realized not a single man in this camp was even attempting to run for freedom. "Why is nobody trying to escape?"

"There is no escape," Kin-so replied.

Taehyung gestured to the dark, empty vast forest around them. "All of this, out there, is freedom."

"They're out there, and they're watching," Kin-so replied.

"Who? Who is out there and watching?" Jungkook gulped nervously. He looked out into the woods but the only people he could see were the men who were part of this camp.

"The captain has a team. And they're out there. You may not see them, but they see you. And trust me, they are watching," Kin-so replied. Taehyung and Jungkook held each other's arms as they stared at Kin-so. They didn't know if he was telling the truth or not.

They thought maybe it was his job to keep them from running away, so he was lying to scare them.

Until they heard screaming from the woods, and then a gunshot.
