Chapter 26.

"Taehyung is awake?!" All the members screamed in unison. Suddenly they were jumping to their feet with anticipation.

"How'd he wake up?!" Hobi asked.

"Yeah you said he might not!" Jin added.

"How did he end up waking up this quickly?!" Namjoon asked.

"Is he okay? Did he say anything?!" Jimin ended the saga of questions.

The doctor paused for a moment to make sure all of their questions were out before speaking. "It's simply a miracle that he woke up at all, especially this soon. However, when he woke up he immediately started screaming, unaware that he had lung damage so we had to quickly sedate him again before he hurt himself more."

"Oh my poor Taehyungie. Why was he screaming?! Was he scared? Was he hurting?" Jimin asked full of more concern.

"He was screaming for Jungkook. He kept repeatedly screaming his name over and over. I tried telling him that Jungkook was safe and being taken care of in a separate room, but I don't think he could comprehend or hear me over his own screaming. His mind seemed to be somewhere else," the doctor informed.

"I know exactly where his mind is. It's still lost out in that hell hole of a place where he was kidnapped and brought to!" Namjoon screamed angrily. He took a breath to compose himself, and then asked, "Is there any way you can put them together? Maybe it'll help both of them to be with eachother. At least in the same room."

"At the moment that's not possible as both need individual, separate treatments."

"But what if he wakes up screaming again?" Jin asked.

"I will do all I can to help him. I must get back now, I just wanted to deliver the good news that Taehyung woke up."

"And Kook-ah...still nothing?" Yoongi asked.

"Still nothing, I'm sorry. He just needs time." The doctor said goodbye and departed again. The members slumped into chairs. They were ecstatic that Taehyung woke up, but devastated about how he woke up. Screaming and crying for Jungkook. The members wondered how often that happened while the two were trapped in that terrible place.

Days went by.

The members hadn't left the waiting room, only to eat or use the bathroom. Police had returned multiple times to question them but Namjoon went into leader mode and repeatedly told the police that now was not the time or place for that, they'd simply have to wait. Namjoon shooed the police away on multiple occasions.

The day the members had all been waiting for had finally come. They could visit their maknae's, who in recent days were put with eachother.

Jungkook had woken up the previous day and Taehyung was constantly in and out of consciousness.

While standing outside the room, Jin stopped everyone before entering. "Everyone listen to me," he started. All of the members were huddled close to him, listening. Jin continued, "We have to remember that they're going to be all bandaged, casted, and wired up. I don't know how bad it'll look and it's going to be scary. The only advice I can give is that we have to remind ourselves that they're safe here, and they're getting the treatment they need to heal. No matter how bad they may look, it only gets better for them from here. Okay?"

Everyone nodded and promised not to freak out too much when they saw the extent of their maknae's injuries.

Jin slowly pushed the door open and quietly led the others inside. They all froze in place when they saw their maknae's. All of them gasped and covered their mouths, trying to suppress their cries.
