The train

After all the goodbyes were said Merribell, Clove, and Cato were escorted to the train that would take them to the capital. Already on board was the district 1 tributes. They were sitting in 2 chairs facing an identical pair that Clove and Cato sat down in. The 4 tributes smiled at each other before the district 1 girl excitedly exclaimed "This is just so amazing isn't it! My name is Glimmer!" "God I can already tell that shes going to be annoying." thought Clove. The district 1 boy smiled and said "My name is Marvel. This is honestly the best thing to ever happen to me!" Glimmer smiled at Marvel then looked at Cato. "I'm Cato. I've wanted to be in the Hunger Games for as long as I can remember." said Cato. He turned his gaze to Clove who was staring out the window lost in thought before returning back to what was happening around her. "I'm Clove" she said grimly. "Did you two know each other before this?" asked Glimmer. Cato looked at Clove before replying "A little bit. I mean we were in the same training class for a while so we sort of know each other from there. What about you guys?" "Same thing, we were in the same training class" said Glimmer. All of the sudden 4 people came through the door. It was Cashmere, Gloss, Brutus, and Enobaria, previous winners of the Hunger Games who would be their mentors. The two districts split up and Brutus and Enobaria sat across from Cato and Clove. "So what are your key strengths?" asked Brutus. "I'm good with the sword and hand-to-hand combat." said Cato. "I can throw knives" said Clove in a very confident tone. "Excellent" said Brutus "We can work with that." The next 3 hours were spent talking about strategies and all the ways Enobaria and Brutus were able to win. Finally the train arrived in the capital. A huge crowd of people were cheering for them right away. Glimmer quickly pushed her way to the front and got off the train first. She stepped out with the biggest smile on her face and started waving to everyone. Marvel followed her, he wasn't so sure what to do so he just awkwardly smiled and waved. Cato and Clove were still on the train at the doors letting Glimmer and Marvel have their moment. Clove looked at Cato after the cheering died down a little bit and tilted her head the tiniest bit telling him to go. "Ladies first" he responded. Clove walked out of the train and smiled at all the people knowing it could help get sponsors. Cato followed her and waved at the crowd. After about a minute of cheering Clove and Cato walked off the platform and got escorted by peacekeepers to a massive building where they would get ready for the tribute parade.
