Training

Clove's POV

I get up early in the morning and go into the dining room to find breakfast is already waiting there. I sit down and grab some scrambled eggs and pancakes. I sit there in the dim light eating by myself and take the time to reflect on what has happened in the past few days and what's going to happen this week. Cato walks in the room. He'll be dead soon I realize. If I win that means he'll be gone. I guess i'd never thought about it. "Good morning" he says. "Morning" I say back. He grabs a plate and gets scrambled eggs and french toast. He sits across from me. I continue eating while I look up at him. I continue the thought I was having. What if he wins? Would he kill me? If I win would I kill him? I would have to. He looks up at me and I instantly look down again. Thankfully Brutus and Enobaria come into the room and sit down. "Today is training day" says Brutus "Now is your chance to show the other tributes how good you are." "Today is also a day to look out for people to recruit to the careers." adds Enobaria. I go to my room and get ready. The outfit is a gray and red top and pants with the number 2 on the sleeve. I come out of my room to see Cato wearing the same thing only like 10 times bigger. We head down to the training room and get a speech from the training director. I see the district 12 girl and give her intense stares to try to intimidate her. I look at Cato to see hes doing the same. Once the speech is over we go over to Glimmer and Marvel. "We need to look for people to recruit" I say. We all go separate ways. I see Marvel goes over and throws a spear. It hits the target exactly. I guess he understands the whole 'sike out the competition thing'. I see Glimmer standing next to him. She has a bow in her hands and shoots it. I misses the target by like a foot. I roll my eyes. God shes annoying. I look over to see Cato practicing with the sword. I start to walk over to Glimmer fully prepared to tell her to get it together when I hear yelling. I turn around to see Cato yelling at the district 6 boy. "Where's my sword!? I know you took it!" Cato yells. Peacekeepers are holding him back. "I'll kill you first! Just wait!" he yells. Glimmer comes up next to me. "Are you nervous or are you trying to fly under the radar?" I say knowing it's not either because... well shes Glimmer. "What do you mean?" she asks. "You missed the target by like 5 feet!" I say. "No I didn't" she protests. "Oh my god" I say. I roll my eyes and walk over to the knife station. When it's my turn I look to make sure Glimmer is watching then start. I hit each target exactly in the heart. I walk past the district 12 girl and I can tell she's intimidated. I go to stand with Glimmer, Cato, and Marvel. "That was good." says Glimmer "Oh, Cato did you see me with the bow earlier? Didn't I do so good?" "Yeah sure" he says quickly. Glimmer looks at me and gives me a snotty look. Like I care. Cato points out the district 12 boy falling off a rope. We all look at eachother than laugh. We look back at him and he's walking over and grabbing a giant metal ball. He throws it and knocks down a rack of spears near us. We all look at eachother once again but this time it's not to laugh. Maybe we have some competition.
