Chapter 4

HarleQuinn POV

Today is the day my parents come back home from their business trip. My mom and stepdad work in the same field so they get invited to the same trips. This time around they usually go somewhere in France but this year they went to Thailand. The company pays for their trip since they're technically still working. Luke and I are waiting at the airport to pick them up. We got our mom a welcome home present like we always do. It's a custom-made 10k diamond necklace. We don't have jobs yet so we combined our allowance to get it for her.

"Here they come Q, get ready to get in the back." Luke popped the trunk for them and we both stepped out.

"Oh, mis bebés!" My mom embraced both Luke and me and bombarded us with kisses.

We both laughed and our words synced up, "Hi Mami, how was your trip?"

"Ahhh the twin intuition is real!!!" She says this every time Luke and I do this. "My trip was tiring, but Gabriel and I made a great deal with another company. Did you two behave while I was gone?"

"We did the usual." Luke shrugged while Mom got into the front passenger and we sat in the back. Gabriel was already in the driver's seat and didn't bother to say hey, that means he's tired and doesn't like to be bothered. He can get surprisingly mean if you bother him while he's like that. "We have a field trip coming up, Quinn and I signed up to go, it's in Arizona."

Leave it to Luke to talk mom's head off back to the house. He never runs out of things to talk about. Once we finally got home I left them to get settled in. They'll be ready to see us again by dinner time. "HarleQuinn, will you come here please?" Passing Luke's door to get into my room I hear him call me in there.

"Using my government name? What's the emergency?" I walk in to see him lying down with his face in his pillow. "Aw, is Luke depressed?"

I sit on the edge of his bed waiting for him to open up to me. He huffs as he gets up to sit next to me. "I don't know what to do. I have this problem where I want to settle down and be in a healthy relationship but I also don't wanna give up being able to get head from any girl in the school."

"Who made you feel like you need to settle down?"

"Marlow, man." Wow, he's using her government name too, he must be serious. "Of course, many girls in our school are pretty but she has a great personality and is very beautiful. She's a goddess. If I was to have a serious relationship with someone, I needed it to be her. But I feel like if I wait too long she'll become off-limits. I know other people are probably trying to get her, Caleb's hoe ass, that new dude Skyler is handsome, no homo. I just know she's taken interest in him."

"First off, I can guarantee Skyler isn't interested in her and won't be anytime soon. Second, have you at least asked her out on a date?"

"I don't know how to do that. I've never been on a date nor do I know how to plan one."

"Here I'll help you. Text her and ask her if she'd like to go out with you sometime and see what she says. I suggest you take her while we're on the field trip. You're gonna need a decent outfit, get her a gift, and I'll plan out the rest." I gave him a heartfelt hug, I could feel him smiling on my shoulder. "Also, settling down is probably the best thing you can do for yourself. I'm surprised you don't have an std yet."

Getting up to leave I didn't think he'd have a response. "Hey I have only 2 bodies, I think I'm doing pretty good!"

"That head count says otherwise!" I yelled down the hallway already in my room.

Marlow and I aren't close friends but we're more than acquaintances. I texted her and started asking her questions that seemed subtle but were actually for the date she's gonna go on with Luke. Someone like her doesn't like going out to fancy places or getting all dressed up. It's good because it makes it easier on Luke.
