2- Ruins

First Person - PoV

"Hey, are you alright?"

I'm only assuming it was the person from before. I kept my eyes shut. I don't feel like getting up anytime soon.

"Hello..?" They seemed to notice that I was awake and gently nudged my arm. I didn't dare move, staying completely still as I waited for them to turn away from me.

The person sighed. "I hope mom doesn't take too long." they fell silent, though I could still feel their presence right beside me.

I heard the person get up and walk away. Cautiously opening my eyes, I observed them from afar. They appeared to be a girl, maybe around 15 years old?

I saw a faint trail of blood from the flowerbeds leading to me. That girl probably dragged me here.

I flinched at the sight, looking to the side. I slowly and carefully put my hand on the injury and felt bandages covering the right side of my head.

Did she do this too?

The girl noticed I was awake and turned around. She quickly rushed over to me and sat beside me. "Hey, are you okay? You've been out for a while now." She asked with a hint of concern in her voice, "Oh, sorry! My name is Lily. I found you there just a few hours ago." Smiling awkwardly, she gestured over to the flowerbeds.

"Oh.. thanks, Lily." I scanned the girl beside me. She had long black hair that covered half of her face, and bright teal eyes. She wore a red shirt with a single pink stripe, a black hoodie, and dark grey leggings. The girl looked a little too old for a striped shirt but I suppose that doesn't matter.

"I already called my mom and told her about you. She's a bit busy so she couldn't come." She explained and held out her hand. I hesitantly took her hand. She nodded as she helped me get back on my feet. "So, what's your name?" Lily asked. I stared blankly.

No one had ever asked me that in a very long time, I'm not sure if I quite remember..

"Illys," I mumbled.

That was my name, right..? Well, whatever.

"My name is Illys." Speaking a little louder this time.

"Nice to meet you, Illys." she smiled, helping me walk through the doorway.

When we got there, a single flower stood on a patch of grass in the middle of the room. For some reason, the flower had a face. A smiley face.

"Howdy!" The flower exclaimed cheerfully. But its expression changed into a small annoyed frown when it saw Lily. "Well if it isn't everyone's favorite human." It scoffed. The flower shifts its attention back to me, its face forming into an evil smile, now grinning.

...and staring right into my soul.

Lily pushed me behind her protectively as I flinched at the sudden movement. I leaned against a wall, watching as the two argued. About what exactly? I don't know. I wasn't paying much attention.

Lily crossed her arms disapprovingly. "Flowey, would you please stop? I'm not up for a challenge today, besides..." She paused and took a brief glance at me.
