Liam's POV
Our tour was absolutely incredible. The fans were crazy, the band was fantastic, the boys were on fire, and our team was great. I couldn't have asked for a better two months in America. But sadly all good things come to an end, and that end was now.
It was sad, saying goodbye to the states, but it was also very good to be home.
"Ah, I love the smell of muggy English air at five in the morning." Louis droned as we left the airport in a huddle. The fans had woken up early to see us at the airport, creating a whole mob after us as we made our way to the van that would take us home. (See what I did there?)
Everyone looked like zombies, especially Eve who had the absolute worst time on the plane. What pregnant woman that was due in a mere two weeks wouldn't be miserable? Luckily we were in first class, but it didn't take her pain away.
We were all really excited for the baby to come and everything was ready except for the baby proofing of the house. It felt like the months had flown by so quickly, and it was almost the moment of truth. I wanted to do something special for Eve before she had her son, and that's why her baby shower was tomorrow.
I hadn't actually planned it, Danielle and Eleanor had. They'd visited a few times toward the end of the tour and we had opportunities to discuss it. Knowing those two, it was going to be very girly, but nice. They even talked to Zayn and invited a pregnant girl from one of the classes they'd gone to.
"Zayn when are we picking Alfie up?" Eve asked when we'd finally gotten situated in the van. Somehow Paul managed to get us out of the car park and into the roads without running over any fans.
"Tomorrow morning." He answered. This had been planned so that Eve and Zayn would be out of the house, just enough time for us to set up and then Eve would come home to a surprise shower.
"I can't wait to see my poor Alfie. He must hate me for leaving him." Eve sighed.
"He won't hate you." Zayn rubbed her back, making me uncomfortable. Those two were always together, always looking at each other with love radiating around them. I just didn't want Eve to get hurt, or distracted from the most important factor in her life. The baby.
But I did want Eve to be happy.
Eve's POV
By the time we got home, I was way too knackered to unpack. I just let myself plop down on the familiar bed I shared with Zayn and spread my limbs out so I covered it all. I breathed in, immediately recognizing Zayn's scent. It was so good to be back.
The plane ride was pure torture. I couldn't get comfortable or sleep, I was having the worst pains in the world, and Greg wasn't helping at all by smothering me. I had been so annoyed that I gave him a cold goodbye as we parted at the airport.
Since we were no longer on tour, he was no longer needed, but I felt bad for being so rude to him. Zayn sure seemed happy about it since he was grinning from ear to ear.
"Already sleeping?" Zayn asked as he came into our room. I simply groaned in reply and felt a dip in the bed. "You're incredible."
"So are you. Now leave me alone and let me sleep please." I didn't mean to snap at him, but my moodiness seemed uncontrollable and impulsive.
"Sorry, sorry."
As soon as I heard the door shut gently, I sighed, letting my body finally rest.
Of course that didn't last for long since my mind was scattered everywhere. My due date was so close, and I was so worried, so unprepared. It wasn't a few months anymore, I only had a few weeks. Two weeks. And there was always the possibility that he'd come early or late.
