001 Not His World

Amidst the flaming wreckage, a lone figure stood, the only thing visible amid the smoke being its emerald green eyes. It looked alien yet its eyes showed a very real human determination. The smoke soon parts as it steps forward to reveal clutched within its gloves hands was an injured human girl with purple hair. She was unconscious but relatively uninjured. Even still, the unknown being had concern in its eyes as, in front of it were two beings. One of thesebwas a similarly sized humanoid covered in glitchy red energy. The few details that can be gleamed through the bellowing black clouds of carbon are the long flowing locks of white hair, the barely visible black fur, a pristine silver mask that seemed unaffected by the smoke, and a single red eye glaring hatefully at the blue being. The other was a tall, lanky humanoid far too covered in smoke to be visible, save only for the madness that exudes from its eyes aimed straight at the girl.

"What will you do now, inhuman final master of Chaldea? What will you do now?" The lanky one asks.

A few months back...

The rapid tapping atop metal is the only things that echoes in space as an anthropomorphic blue hedgehog races across a massive spaceship in hot pursuit of a bald man in a red jumpsuit riding a bulbous contraption which, is somehow keeping up with the blue blur.

"Come on, Eggman. You really think this'll end differently from the hundred gazillion other battles we've had? Give it a rest." The blue hedgehog snarkily remarks at his target.

This target, Dr. Eggman replies just as quickly.

"I wouldn't put your hopes up to much, Sonic!"

Sonic rolls his eyes before running faster.

Suddenly, a massive robot enters the fray, impeding Sonic. It swings a punch, but instead of running away, Sonic merely smirks. As the fist lands where Sonic was, a flash of bright golden light bursts forth.

Several elaborately made traps later, a golden light punches into the room Eggman was in. The light pulsates once before clearing up somewhat, revealing Sonic now wreathed in a gold light, his fur now changed to a bright gold.

To this, the doctor grunts  as he subtly hides his left hand, his face morphed into a scowl.

"We've played this song and dance before Eggman. Give it up."

"O-of course! I just... I..." Eggman then mumbles.

"What was that, Eggman? Speak up." Sonic confidently says as he hovers closer to Eggman.

"I said... I'm... NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP!" He triumphantly declares, revealing a pressed button in his earlier hidden hand which immediately activates a ring-like mechanism which traps Sonic even in his Super form.

"You know the rules and so do I, Sonic! Say goodbye!" Eggman gleefully says as his machine creates tesla coil-like machines which begin trying to siphon the golden light away from Sonic.

"Chaos... CONTROL!" Sonic shouts, teleporting out of the trap before proceeding to destroy all of them

"Did- did you just Rick-roll me Eggman? Also, that trap's not gonna work a second time, Eggy. You've done this when you awoken Dark Gaia." Super Sonic says with incredulity. However, disbelief turns into concern seeing the doctor's confident look despite being soundly beaten.

"Yes, and it seems it has distracted you long enough."

"Long enough for what?"

Sonic suddenly falls to the floor and out of his transformation. The emeralds all clatter unto the floor around him.

"W-What... happened..."

"You're not the only one to have learned from encounter, you know? I too devised tricks up my own sleeve. Like the fact that the entire facility is rigged with passive chaos energy absorbers. I made sure to lead you through the longest possible route in order to weaken you as much as possible before active extraction.",
