4 months since the battle, 4 months since Atl's death. Chantico had finally grown enough courage to sit by the beach that day just to see if he would come by.
Ripples splashed through the water which caused her ears to perk up. "K'uk'ulkan." She says, this caused him to look over. "Chantico." He says but stops as he notices her running towards him.
She hugged him close, trying to control her heat so she didn't burn him as she held him. "What changed your mind?" He questions. "Thinking, I know I'll regret not being with you. Even though we both are immortal that doesn't mean we have to go eternity without each other." She says, this causes him to learn over and kiss her, wrapping his arms around her waist as she brings hers around his neck.
Chantico would sit by the beaches daily, waiting for her husband to return...but this time it would be different. K'uk'ulkan walks through the water and Chantico walks towards him, both of them meeting at the edge of the water.
"Something's different." The man says as he looks at the woman. "Estás brillando." (You're glowing.) He says as he holds her face in his hands. "Tengo noticias." (I have news.) She says as she looks back and forth between him and the ocean.
"Mi visión... está sucediendo antes de lo que pensaba." (My vision...it's happening sooner than I thought.) She says, this causes his eyes to widen. "Mi amor." He says, this causes her to nod as he hugs her tightly, smiles on their faces.
Throughout her pregnancy there were ups and down, Xochitl was excited to be an aunt, while Chantico was anxious about how it would go. Walking through her village was when she realized. "Oh shit." She says as she looks down, Xochitl stopped walking and immediately took notice.
"¡Es hora, voy a ser una tía!" (It's time, I'm going to be an aunt!) Xochitl exclaims, but with the loud groan from Chantico she stopped. "Get out of the way! Pregnant goddess coming through!" Xochitl exclaims as they take her to her hut, everything was all set up for her.
"Get K'uk'ulkan!" Chantico exclaims as she lets out a scream. Xochitl's eyes widen as she grabs the shell on the side of the bed and rushes out of the hut and down towards the beach. She blows into the conch and places it into the water.
K'uk'ulkan was talking to Namora just as the sound of the shell was heard all throughout the water. "Mi amor." He says as he swims away and up towards the surface. "¿Qué te llevó tanto tiempo? Ella está luchando." (What took you so long? She's struggling.) The girl says as she runs, the god following behind her.
"Respira, solo respira. Inhalar y exhalar." (Breathe, just breathe. Inhale and exhale.) The woman says as she holds onto Chantico's arm as the goddess latched onto hers. "In yakunaj." K'uk'ulkan says as he looks at the woman in the bed, her screams being heard all throughout the village.
Xochitl sat outside the hut, covering her ears from the painful screams from Chantico. Suddenly it all stopped, and Xochitl peeked her head into the hut and saw K'uk'ulkan holding a small girl. "Xochitl." Chantico says as she sees the girl peeking her head through.
"Ueyatl." Chantico says as she looks at the baby who was in Xochitl's arms. "I'm a tia!" Xochitl exclaims as she looks down at the little baby in her arms. "Look at her ears." K'uk'ulkan says as he admires her ears. "Look at her ankles." Chantico says as small wings flutter.
"We'll take good care of you Ueyatl." K'uk'ulkan says as Xochitl hands him his daughter. "My little ocean." Chantico says as she holds her daughter's face, a smile on her face.
