Lilith and Briar looked around them at the jolly world of Christmas Town. They had both expected it to be much...spookier. Lilith had heard about Christmas Town countless times from her dad, and Briar had read about it at the Halloween Town library, (as well as listening to Lilith rambling about it) but neither of them had ever been outside Halloween Town. They knew nothing other than their horror-filled home and they could've never even imagined the wonder of Christmas Town. "This place sucks." Said Lilith. "Yeah, I was definitely expecting it to be more Halloween-y." Briar responded. Lilith started walking towards the town gates, Briar following in her tracks. "The monsters are all missing and the nightmares can't be found, and in their place there seems to be good feeling all around," Said Lilith, "it's stupid. They oughtta learn what a real holiday looks like."
Lilith walked right into the center of Christmas Town, climbing on top of a snowman to use as a stage. "Attention, citizens of Christmas." she said as Briar stood awkwardly beside her looking around. The elves turned their attention towards the two outsiders, and fear filled their pure, innocent eyes. "Monsters!" They screamed, frantically running around all through the town. Lilith tried to calm them down but they wouldn't stop screaming and running around. She put her fingers in the corners of her mouth and pulled it open screaming horrifyingly like her father. The town went silent with shock and fear, all eyes were on her. "Ahem, do not fret, citizens, we are not here to harm you," said Lilith, "we only wish to make some...improvements to your overly joyous holiday!" Lilith smiled wide, which was unintentionally unsettling. "My dear old dad has told me many times the story of his Christmas, i do hope to replicate it just as he told me. It sounded like quite the fright, I only wish to encompass the glory of the terrible night of which he described." Lilith proudly explained, "from now on, all happenings in Christmas Town must go through me. Think of me as your new Pumpkin Queen...Or Christmas Tree Queen or whatever." The elves nodded and nervously scattered away as Lilith stepped down from the snowman. "How was that?" Lilith asked Briar. "That was awesome! They all looked so scared, as if they'd seen a ghost or something." Lilith laughed excitedly, and gave Briar a hug.
"Lilith, look." Said Briar, pointing behind Lilith. Lilith released her embrace and turned around to see a line of elves holding unfinished toys. "Woah!" Said Lilith, Briar laughing at her surprise. One by one the elves handed their toys to Lilith and she gave them all notes on how to improve them, meanwhile Briar was sitting beside her and joking around with her. After giving individual notes to around a hundred elves, Lilith got lazy and decided to give the other elves notes later. "C'mon Briar, let's go redecorate around here." Said Lilith, grabbing Briar's hand. Briar got excited at the opportunity to explore a new place, she had read about it before but it was way different to how she pictured it. Briar pulled out a little notebook and sketched the places they went, before Lilith started tearing them apart and remodeling them in a much more Halloween fashion. Although Briar agreed that Halloween Town was a much better place, and Halloween was a much better holiday, she couldn't deny that she was intrigued by the distinctiveness of Christmas Town. Suddenly a loud cheer interrupted Lilith's mischief and Briar's nerdery. They turned to see the elves staring at a large clock that displayed the date, "Days Left" changed from 2 into 1. "Christmas Eve!" yelled the elves, celebrating.
