Chapter ten

No one's pov-

Payton was waddling around the hospital, holding Sofia's hand looking for Callie so they could go home.

"Momma!" Sofia says catching paytons attention.

Payton quickly looked around trying to spot Callie like Sofia clearly did, Payton was excited to find the raven haired woman as she was exhausted.

You got to give it to her, she was 8months pregnant with twins. Her c-section date was coming up in only 3 days, she has been offered maternity leave but she is determined to work till the end.

"Where did you see momma baby?" Payton asks when she couldn't see her girlfriend.

"Momma."Sofia whines looking up at the woman.

"Oh you want momma." The brunette realised. "Let's go find momma."

Payton picks up the 4 year old, placing her on her hip just above her bump.

This only made her waddle worse, but the woman couldn't careless she loved holding Sofia close.

"There you are!" Payton said when she saw Callie, giving her a quick kiss before handing the mother her daughter. "Someone wanted her momma."

"Oh did someone miss mommy- did you say momma?" Callie freezes something clicking in her head. "Are you sure she said momma?"

"Well yeah, she said 'momma' twice." Payton replied tilting her head at her girlfriend.

"I'm mommy, she never calls me that." She says with a confused look. "Let me try something."

Callie readjusted how she was holding Sofia so she was facing Payton.

"Sofsof, who's momma?" The raven haired asks the mini brunette in her arms.

Even though she isn't biologically Payton's she has a lot of her features, she has her hair, smile and Callie's favourite thing they share was the eyes.

She really hoped the twins come out looking just like Payton.

"Momma!" Sofia said once again but this time pointing at Payton. "Momma hold me please."

"I'm momma?" Payton asks as she takes the girl back into her arms.

"Mhm!" Sofia hums as she plays with her momma's hair.

"Callie! I'm momma!" Payton smiles and looked at her girlfriend trying not to cry fro the happiness she was feeling.

"I know." Callie replied with a smile, watching as her little family were hugging.

She was excited that her small new family of three was soon turning into a family five.

As she admired her two favourite people hugging and talking in the middle of the hall when she spots a puddle of water strolling down her leg and onto the floor.

"Honey did your water just break?" Callie asked worried, this wasn't one of the babies kicking her badder this was more than that.

"Mhm, take our child before I scream in pain right next to her little ear." Payton whines in pain, her free hand grabbing her stomach.

Callie quickly grabbed the kid and shouted to the nearest nurse to get a wheelchair and to page deluca and Meredith.

"Jo get over here." Callie screams over to the 1st year resident. "Take Sofia back to day care-"

"No, Jo this is your new service for the night, you are going to take Sofia to get some dinner in the cafeteria then you may take her to day care around 7:30 for her bedtime. But until then you do not leave my daughters side understand?"

"I understand dr grey but i thought Sofia was Torres's kid." The younger woman asks as she takes the kids hand.

"She's both of ours." Callie tells her before giving Sofia a peck on the forehead before turning to her girlfriend who lets out a small scream of pain.

"Momma?" Sofia asks, her voice full of worry and a scared look.

"I'm okay baby, Jo get her away from here now."Payton says trying to act strong for her kid.

Callie goes over to her girlfriend, holding her hand to reassure her that everything was going to be okay.

The nurse finally came with the wheel chair and the couple rushed to the the martenty ward, only for Payton to be rushed straight to an or for a c-section.

Callie was able to be with her and hold her hand the whole time.

Payton decided that she didn't want to know the genders until they were born.

"Callie? What are our babies?" Payton asks, starting to relax after she heard both twins let out a cry.

"They are girls, we have three girls now baby." Callie let's out a heart full laugh before giving Payton a loving kiss.

"Go with them for their check ups." The woman on the table says as she was still getting the placenta removed and stitched back up.

"I won't leave their side I promise." And with that Callie followed after their twin girls.

Callie's pov-

We were cuddled up on Payton's hospital bed, holding a twin each while trying to decide a name for them before everyone comes to visit tomorrow morning.

We had one name already but we needed a 2 middle names and another first name.

"What about Lexie Addison?" She asks as she strokes the baby in her arms cheek as she slept.

"Lexie Addison Grey. I love it." I replied as I turned to the twin my arms.

"Actually I was thinking Torres."

I quickly turned to face her.

"Really?"

"Yeah, your their mommy they deserve to have your name and if we ever get married I want to drop my last name, so what would be the point of dropping it if my kids still have it." Payton said as she smiled at me. "Also it would be nice for Sofia to share a name with her siblings."

"I love you paypay."

"Love you too Callie." She laughs as she leans against me. "Okay baby b's name?"

"Victoria grace? We can call her tori?" I asked as I climbed off of the bed and putting the un-named baby in the small cot before doing the same with Lexi.

"Tori Torres, I love it!"

I climbed back into the bed to allow her to cuddle into me.

"Carina said you can go home tomorrow if your stitches look fine, I've got the next month off so I can help out with our babies and let you rest."

"Sounds great, Sofia starts preschool next week right?"

"Yes, Meredith said she would happily take her in the morning with Zola until I go back to work."

"Sounds great." She yawns while leaning against my chest.

"Night babe." I smile as I watch her fall asleep.

I really love this woman.
