Darksouls

Ashley's POV (Two hours before)

It was 11:45pm, I was down stairs getting a drink of water when I heard strange noises coming from the living room. So I walked over slowly to the room so that whatever was in my house couldn't hear me. But when I got to the door the noises stopped, pressing my self against the wall, into the darkness so that if it came out it wouldn't be able to see me. I readied myself to fight whatever was going to exit my living room, like my dad taught me to do when I felt like there was danger around me.

One of the doors opened slowly, it was the one next to me; I prepared my self to attack but then I saw it. I couldn't believe what my eyes where seeing; it has blood red eyes to show how much blood it has shed, if it looks deep into soul the thing has the potential to burn you alive. It's body had the colour of death and it made me tremble with fear.

I held my breath so it couldn't locate where I was hiding; I thought to myself shit it's a Darksoul . They have the capability to steal your soul and take possession of your body, control you until their satisfied or not then they have the option of either killing you or making you as a Shadow; once a Shadow you will always be one of it's minions, right now I just want to get the fuck out of here.

It started to scan the room to see if anyone was around; it was looking for someone to suck the life out of. The Darksoul started to move, it opened its haunting mouth that looked like it was moulded there to purposely scare its victim. I could hear the whispers of screams coming out of the Darksoul's mouth and every breath it took I could here people whispering the word death.

It was like something out of a horror movie when people start to hear words in their head that aren't supposed to be there.

It looked in the opposite direction from me, a gust of wind escaped from out side, even the redolant smell from the Darksoul reeked of death. A shiver climbed up my spine, I feared what it was capable of doing to me and I wasn't staying to find out.

Trying to dodge the Darksoul from spotting me I leaped to the other side of the hallway. The thing skrieched and its high piched sceam was deathening, I fell to my knees in pain; trying not to let a noise slip my mouth. The wind smashed open the windows, the floor boards started to creek towards me so I quikly scanned the room to find a hiding place. Just managing to crawl under neath my desk before it came around the corner, I could feel the presence of the spiritless demon.

My heart skipped a beat I could hear the Darksoul drag its claws on the top of my desk then without warning it stopped. Its fingers arched at the edge of the desk, Shit it has found me I thought to myself. I managed to slide myself under the bottom of my desk.

The Darksoul released a breath which sounded like a dying old man, I ran for my life, I heard the thing behind me, all of my body was telling me run faster; I had no time to unlock the door so I burst it open and ran to the forest, The Darksoul screeched behind me and I didn't want to look back as my legs told me to just kept running.

I found myself in the middle of the woods not knowing where I was, I was lost in the middle of the wood not knowing how to get back home. Not that I wanted to just yet but the point is I'm lost "great" I said to myself. Well there is no point in going back the way I came unless I want to get myself killed. searching deeper into the wood, hoping that there was a house that I could find, I can hear the dark soul catching up with me so I quickly made the decision to run further into the forest.

At this point I was deep inside of the forest and managed to loose the Darksoul all the weight from my body lifted as my adrenaline pumped through my body. I started to explore the woods a little to see if I could make a shelter to keep me safe for the night. Not so I don't get cold because I'm cold all the time due to me having my ice abilities, maybe that was another reason why the Darksoul couldn't find me when I was practically right next to it.

There were footsteps running in my direction, so I hid behind all of the fern and branches that had fallen from the tree, lucky for me there was a ditch so nobody would be able to see me when they go past me, crouching behind the awful looking plants. Hearing the foot steps gradually get slower so I peaked around the corner of the ditch to find somone stumbling as if they where drunk.

The person then crashed to the floor and was seeking for someone's help; he seemed to be weak but why? I heard two other sets of heavy feet run this way, I'm guessing the mystry person was being chased by the two big brutes coming my way. So I quickly went over to help the poor guy and dragged him to where I was hiding he was no older than 16 maybe 17.

Anyways, dragging him to where I hid so he was safe and I'm glad I did; two men stopped dead infront of us. The guy that I saved was in pain and let a little moan escape is mouth "ssssshhhhhh" I told him watching the too men to see when they where ready to leave. They started to walk towards us and not being able to think what my next move was, the guy started to speek, exahaling silently in relief so nobody could hear me when one of the men said "where the hell could that kid of got too" the other replied with "I dont know but if we dont find that boy the boss will kill us".

At that point it made me wonder why these two men where after him what made him so special, is it because he has a secret ability like I had, now I was curious to get to know this kid. there was a howl in the distance "come on we have to go, this isn't our territory" the man said worried "god dam it what are we going to tell the boss now?" the other man said in annoyance. Before I knew it they melted away into the distance.

"Hi I'm Ashley" trying to introduce myself in a polite manner then I remembered what my uncle said about the Devils minions, so thats why they where chasing you I thought to myself "people like them only want to kill people like us" I told him but he gave a confused facial expression. Why did he give me that look does he not know about the other side? How people have extraordinary powers, all that stuff?

The boy started to look at me weirdly then I noticed his eyes where glowing, I stroked his face so he knew I wasn't going to hurt him. I tried so hard not to say anything but it was too hard not to mention "wow your eyes are glowing" they were so beautiful, I hope he wasn't mad, probably everyone says that about his eyes. his eyes compelled me to stare at them; I just couldn't take my eyes off of them wait I'm staring at him I looked away quickly and I felt my face burn red hot from bottom to the top of my forehead, well that was embarrassing but his eyes were glowing how, and why? .

Then out of no where he started to groan in pain, the groan soon turned into a scream, he arched his back as though he was going through an exorcism aaahhhh he's a demon child I instantly thought. Then I saw the back of his t-shirt rip open a gasp slipped from my mouth no way, how is this possible he had what looked like angel wings rapidly grew from his back; they looked like white fluffy angel wings but why is he going through the awakening now, why didn't this happen when he was at a younger age? After his transaction he passed out, I knew I had to get the boy to a safer place but where could I take him...

I managed to find us a safe place in the woods for us to rest, then went to search for wood so that I could start a fire to keep the youngster warm. I just hope that Darksoul isn't in this part of the wood because if it is then I'm screwd. I got back to camp and started the fire making sure that the boy was getting some heat. Also I used my survival knowledge to make a shelter.

I couldn't sleep so I kept an eye on the boy making sure he was ok and wasn't too cold. He started to mumble something so I made my way over to his side to try and figure out what he was saying and he said something about his mom. Thank god he still had his family but where where they? questioning myself. My eyes where heavy and they where trying to put me into a deep sleep I tried to resist them but gave in and drifted into a deep sleep.
