Prologue: Ramshackle Dorm

After the chaos, the headmaster decides to end the orientation ceremony. Each house warden began to instruct their new students to their dorm. Each of them secretly wishes that Cyno won't go back to where he came from. But before any students make any move, Crowley realizes someone is missing."Hm? Has anyone seen Mr. Draconia, the Housewarden of Diasomnia?" Hm? What this? How come someone important as house warden was not invited? Now that he mentions it, Cyno only notices six people who are standing in the front while there are seven student lines.

Cyno folded his arms and started to recollect all the information so far. 'They must be the house warden of their dorm but only one is missing. So this school divines students into seven dorms depending on their soul nature just like a person receiving their Vision as a recognition from the Gods. Seven gods in Teyvat represent each element and the way they choose the person to have a Vision is also different. The only difference is that this is a school where they were sorted into different houses to learn and polish their 'magic' while a Vision is like a tool or perhaps an achievement for a mortal. I wonder who is this Draconia, and why is he not here at the ceremony.' Cyno was in deep thought that he didn't hear the rest of the conversation from the other students. Until Crowley snapped him out of his thought: "Well, Cyno. This is a most unfortunate turn of events. I'm afraid you will not be attending Night Raven College after all. Surely you realize that I cannot be a student with no magical ability, even though that power of yours is quite impressive but still, it's not magic so I can't accept you to my academy." Cyno just answered him calmly: "Alright."

"Oh yes, worry not. The Dark Mirror will send you home safely." Cyno doesn't say anything because his gut tells him that he might not be able to go back to Teyvat for a while but he still does what the crow man tells him to do. "Now, step into the gate, and visualize the place from where you came." Cyno then closes his eyes and starts to imagine Sumeru City, Aaru Village, the desert, and the Akademiya then he hears the headmaster chant: "O Dark Mirror! Return this soul to where it belongs!" Silent, Crowley starts to chant again: "*Ahem* L-let us, er... try this again. O Dark Mirror! Return this soul-"

"There is no such place." Cyno didn't surprise much by The Dark Mirror's answer while Crowley just sat there dumbfounded: "What?" The mirror then speaks again:" There is no such place in this world where this soul belongs. None." The crow starts his panic mode again: "How can that be?! This has never happened throughout my long tenure. I must confess that I'm at something of a loss." Cyno just stares at him blankly thinking how can this man be this school headmaster when he just freaks out every five minutes when something goes wrong. Crowley sees Cyno stare, he quickly goes back to his composure and asks him: "*ahem* Can you tell me exactly where you from?"

"Sumeru, "Cyno said blandly. "I'm afraid I don't know such a place. I mean I know every student of origin has ever come here to study. But I never heard about your homeland before." Cyno just gives him the obvious look saying: Of course, you never heard about it because I'm from another world. After some time of thinking the crow suggests: "Why don't we go look in the library? We might find something in there about your mysterious homeland. But first-" Crowley then takes off his coat then puts it on Cyno's shoulder. "Please wear this, we don't want you to catch a cold now do we since it's night and the temperature has dropped outside." Cyno wants to tell him that he has to spend a night out in the desert so he is used to the temperature but he decides to stay silent and accept the coat. "Thank you."

"Now then let's make our way to the library." After they made it to the library, they started to search every geography book for any clues about 'Sumeru' but they got nothing in the end. "Mr. Cyno, are you sure you don't lie about where you are from?"

"You think I lied?" Cyno gives a 'friendly look' to the crow. Crowley flinches and then changes the subject by giving out the theory that Cyno might come from another dimension, that's why they can't find anything in his homeland. 'Took him long enough.'
