If you could raise yourself, you could become a hero. You convinced yourself that from the very start. From the second you became aware of the world and started to form memories, the idea planted itself in your head. Heroes were strong and independent. Heroes got the most attention and the good ones got praise from a whole country. Your logic was that if you become a hero then you'll get attention and praise, and would prove that you didn't need anyone to reach that goal. And maybe, just maybe, your mother would snap out of her fantasy world and acknowledge you. That was the main reason why you aimed so high and reached to touch the stars. The second one was that the 2 childhood friends that you had would leave you behind to reach that same goal. So you figure that you'd join along in a fantasy.

You never really understood why those two found All Might so cool. You understood their reasoning behind the obsession but you don't relate to it at all. Even now you don't fully understand. You only want to become a hero to gain attention and to spite your mother (also because you didn't want to be left behind). It might not be as honorable, but it was still a solid goal. Right?

As the years passed you got hit with the harsh reality that everyone dreamed of being a hero but only a handful had gotten to their goal. However, you didn't let that discourage you, in fact, that just added to the growing spite. You just figured that you might have to become the one to leave others behind. That fact doesn't bother you as much as it should. Maybe it was because of the way you were raised. The truth of the matter was that you wouldn't let anything get in the way and if you had to hurt yourself and others to get to the finish line you would. Even though the dream was something that most believe would only happen in their fantasies, you also knew that it wasn't completely out of the picture. Your quirk was powerful, and even if your physical body wasn't as strong as you would like it to be, you were light on your feet. Overall if you did have a chance of getting into a hero school and becoming a chance. (Do note this chance isn't bad, however, it is also not good.)

You awoke to the sound of 'by the seaside' playing in your ear coming from your phone. Sitting up you felt the multiple layers of blankets fall off your chest and into your lap. Shit. The sudden feeling of cold air bouncing against your arms and neck made you shiver and sink back into the warmth of the bed. After a few seconds of your alarm trying to persuade you into getting out of the bed, you finally listened to it and got up. You lazily slapped your phone to turn off the alarm and made your way out of the room to check the air conditioning. Not bothering to check the time, you dragged your feet along the floor to check the temperature. You already knew you were going to be late to school so there was no real reason to be in a rush if you already were missing out. This is how most of your mornings went. Uneventful and boring. And somewhat lonely. You were used to waking up and not seeing anyone in the apartment, even though you knew there was a shell of a person in the 1,100-square-foot radius.

After fiddling with the AC for too long you decided that maybe knowing the time is helpful. 11:02. The school day was almost half over. Most of the time you were a bit earlier than 11 o'clock. It's funny to you. It was the last day of school before break and yet you didn't feel it was a special school day at all. After procrastinating being a human, you started to get ready for school, figuring that if you were even late you would get chewed more out by your friend at lunch.

The rest of your time spent at home was just you brushing your teeth, washing your face (poorly), and getting changed into the school uniform. And just like your morning at home, the time spent on the way to school was uneventful and boring. Sometimes the train you took had a rogue rat or screaming child that you could judge. However, today there was nothing. Even the train was relatively empty. You assumed that it was because it was the middle of the day and there was some attack on a train earlier this morning. Apparently, it was a new hero's debut. You had already forgotten her name, Mountain girl? Mt. Shady? Girl Mount? No no, definitely not that. Ah! Mt. Lady! Right? For someone who strives to be a Pro hero you really did not pay any mind to the current pros. The only reason that you actually know some heroes is because your friend could not stop fanboying over them. Sure you too had other conversations that weren't about heroes, but the topic was brought up often. At least if you brought up the topic it would get him to stop scolding you for whatever you did.
