Recovery

A few weeks have passed since the incident and you were sitting in your bed watching some tube. You got up slouching slightly while walking over to the bathroom. You sighed and looked at yourself in the mirror. Who were you now, why did you change from a happy person to a corpse. You rubbed your face and closed your bathroom door to do your business.

*over at Steven's*

Steven hadn't eaten that much and the gems were worried. Steve had left to god knows where. Steven didn't care about him, it was basically his fault. Steven stuffed his face in the pillow losing the motivation to get up.

Garnet came up the stairs and knocked on Steven's wall. "Steven, please come down and eat, your body needs food and water." Pearl was behind Garnet watching the two interact.

Steven didn't bother to look and sighed. "Just leave the food next to my bed." He whispered.

Amethyst quirked her brow and stared at the already uneaten food. She walked over to the moldy plates and grabbed them walking downstairs to dispose of them.

Garnet didn't want to over step boundaries but she was worried sick. "Steven, you need to talk face to face." Steven sat up quickly in a panic.

"I can't just talk to them! They don't want anything to do with me so why bother.." he laid down again.

Garnet looked down and closed her eyes. She opened them again and nodded her head and dragged Pearl down with her. Steven cried into his pillow feeling useless.

*back to you*

You finished eating some brunch and decided that it's time to come out of your hiding place and face the world. You chose some clothes that you felt comfortable with and put a coat on. You cracked a smile at the warm breeze that flew into your hair.

You walked down the boardwalk and walked into the Fish Stew Pizza. It smelled so good. Maybe a couple of sliced won't hurt.

You greeted Kiki from your table and asked for two slices. Looking around you felt much better, the atmosphere was so homey and comforting.

That is until a certain someone entered the shop. You heard the chime of the bell ring on the door and looked up slightly.

Your face instantly paled and quickly looked down.

Just what in the hell was Steve doing here!

You mentally cursed yourself for being so brave. Luckily he didn't seem to notice nor care for anyone in the shop at the moment.

You awaited your pizza slices trying to be as patient as possible but your gaze was locked on Steve hoping he doesn't recognize you.

After your sliced finally came, you quickly took them and left the building. On your way to the beach you heard something from behind you.

"Thought I wouldn't notice you?"

Fuck, you didn't turn around and kept walking hoping he would just go away. He quickly caught up due to his incredible speed.

"Hey, I'm talking to you. I just want to have a conversation with you." He demanded.

You've grown irritated to always being pushed around so you snapped back. "We'll I don't, I don't have to talk to you. Only when I feel comfortable enough I will." You ate a slice of your pizza.

"Go away, I just wanted to enjoy a day without having to deal with you." You walked away and moved as far as you could from Steve so you could relax on the sand as the sun was setting slowly.

You put your headphones on and put some music on to make you feel better. Grabbing your slice, you took another bite enjoying the view.

After the sun went down you threw out your left overs and walked down the boardwalk back to your house.

Opening the door you were met with the gems worried faces. You gripped your chest almost letting out a scream.

"What are you guys doing here??" They all glanced at each other and nodded.

Pearl looked at you and clasped her hands together. "Please [Name] you need to help us, help Steven. He needs you." You looked towards the ground avoiding eye contact.

Garnet spoke up. "[Name] we know you're not on the best terms with the Universe's but this is an emergency. Steven is...well he's not doing well. We can't get him to eat and he's looking paler by the day. Please [Name], we need your help."

You took a deep breathe and nodded, "He might be an idiot..but he's still my idiot. Where is he." You slightly smiled at them.

More chapters coming, it's been a while since I wrote this book and tbh it makes no sense what so ever but I noticed a lot of people liked it so I'll continue to write this book.
