Daisy sits down in the control room for the Fury, fixing her mech from some inconsistencies. Mario suddenly enters.

Mario: How's the report?

Daisy: (gasps) Oh, Mario. It's you. Um, it's going well. I think problems with the test flight can be easily fixed, at least that's what Crump says.

Mario: Good. But for advice, you should get some sleep.

Daisy: It kind of feels like we're back at the Aratrum. I mean, we're surrounded by machines, so at the same time it's like we're back, but it also feels different.

Mario: Huh. Daisy, wh-what do you think of the plan?

Daisy: I'm sure it'll succeed.

Mario: No, that's not what I meant. Do you think it's right for everyone to get dragged into this? I think I'm obsessed with Godzilla. Maybe it's a grudge?

Mario then remembers his parents dying at the hands of Godzilla when they were leaving, making him think maybe it is a grudge.

Daisy: Mario, you know, you've always been my hope. You and Luigi showed me around when we were young. People like me, don't have any memories of Earth, and I never understood Bowser's homesickness. All those times he and grandpa spoke about Earth felt like fairy tales; ones that didn't feel real.

Mario: Grandpa.....

Mario then remembers when he was locked up with Luigi, Bowser, and Yoshi, while also watching Daichi's ship explode on Tau-E.

Mario: I never said anything about him, Daisy. I'm sorry for not speaking to you about it.

Daisy: It's fine. You were locked up, anyway, so how can I blame you? But, if you think about it, because of that incident, we all received hope. "To give up everything, and live life not feeling anything". Bowser told me that's what Peach told him a long time ago, and in space, I thought that was normal, but you were always different. While Bowser stays mad at the things he can't forgive, while you know you're resolve, and forgive others even if they're not on your side of things. That's practically what you taught me. So wherever you go, I'm going to follow you and fight by your side. That's what I decided.

Mario: Daisy....I....(suddenly flinches in pain)

Daisy: Mario? You okay?

Mario: Ow. Yeah, I'm fine. Ever since we got in here, my wounds began hurting sometimes.

Mario eventually allows Daisy to continue working, and sits alone in the supply room. He looks at the bodies that were consumed by Nanometal, even seeing one stare at him. He looks away, disturbed. Bowser then sees Mario, and goes over to him.

Bowser: Hey, Mario. So, good news and bad news; the good news is MechaGodzilla is almost in completion, but the bad news is that fortifications are taking a long time. (Notices that he's depressed) Hey, what's up?
