The Council flipped.

Naruto let Hiruzen handle that. He, on the other hand, has someone he needed to heal. He found them easily enough. He looked at the two men dressed in black with red clouds. He stepped in front of them and they stopped. The larger one shifted, "Well...and here I thought we have to run around looking for the twerp,"

Naruto ignored Kisame, "Sasuke is investigating. He will figure it out sooner or later and I doubted he will be happy with your decision...Itachi,"

Itachi looked at him, Sharingan blazing and Naruto found himself trapped in Tsukuyomi. He looked at Itachi and the latter frowned at his older appearance. Naruto looked at the red moon, "Tsuki no Me project is a giant Tsukuyomi that will send every single living thing on this planet asleep. But that wasn't all, the real leader is actually Zetsu and not Tobi,"

Itachi hesitated, "And how would you know that?"

Naruto looked at him, "Do you think the representation of my mind is by choice?"

Itachi wasn't called a prodigy for nothing, "You...you're not of this time,"

Naruto nodded and thought of the other future. He showed the result of Itachi's decision, the way Sasuke slowly lost his sanity and reasoning. How instead of becoming the a hero as his brother had intended, he aimed to become the ultimate villain. He showed the truth behind the Tsuki no Me, the Fourth Shinobi War and finally, Otsutsuki Kaguya and the horror of the Shinju Tree.

Itachi was shaking at the end. Had it not been because of the most devastating war, he knew Sasuke would have become the second Madara. Had it not been because of Naruto's unique bond with Sasuke, he would have died to his brother's hands. He scowled, "Zetsu...it was all Zetsu,"

Naruto nodded, "That is not all,"

He showed him the possible peace. The lull in between and the fairy tale ending. Showed Sasuke leaving to seek redemption, away from Konoha. Then, the horror that came after. He showed Sasuke's final moment and Itachi was crying at the end. He looked down, "So...it was for nothing,"

Naruto growled, "Not if I have my way,"

Itachi let him go, "What now? You are here, surely you have a plan. Zetsu won't be quiet and with your presence you will only make him more violent,"

Naruto shrugged, "I knew his modus operandi well enough. He won't make a move until he's certain that he will win. Obito is the wild card here,"

Recalling the shocking revelation about the so called Madara's identity, Itachi nodded. Obito's a wild card. He had completely succumbed to the madness of the Uchiha's Curse of Hatred. It took Madara's own betrayal to wake him up and turn a new leaf. Itachi sighed, "Why did you meet me here?"

Naruto looked at him, "Your illness...I can heal them,"

Itachi blinked.

Naruto nodded, "In my time, you told me that your illness came from your regret. Your own chakra turned against you as a form of psychosomatic punishment. I need you alive this time," He looked at Itachi, "I can heal you but if you don't find a way to ease the guilt you carry, it will only come back. The first step would be coming clean with Sasuke,"

Itachi looked down. He didn't know if his brother will listen and accept his decision, not after what Naruto showed him. But Sasuke had also showed some positive changes, like his decision to protect Konoha even though it was in the total opposite direction Itachi had wanted him to go. He chuckled, "What a troublesome Otouto I have,"

Naruto smirked, "I guess he is cute that way," Itachi blinked and Naruto twitched, "At this age, I can only see my peers as kids, alright. There's nothing weird between the two of us," Since Hinata's passing, people have been weird about him and Sasuke. Sometime even long before that or even during his marriage with Hinata. Can't he be platonic with his brother in all but blood? Some even have this weird ideas about the whole Team 7.
